As we ride the strings of time
Blast off at the speed of light
Rock the eons back and forth into the night
Gaze at the pale blue dot
And sail on until the morning comes along
Take the broken pieces of this mirror
So now everywhere you go
Will be a reflection of who you are
Travel between the tides
As we put our cares aside
Sail off to the edge of the world
We'll never find our way back home
Take the broken pieces of this mirror
And throw them to the stars
So now everywhere you go
Will be a reflection of who you are
So now everywhere you go
will be a reflection of who you are
Imprisoned by the walls that built
A world as small as your mind
So break down the walls
And it is freedom you will find
And it is freedom you will find
So now everywhere you go
Has reflected who you are
The lyrics of U. Rajesh's song "Reflections" convey a sense of exploration, freedom, and self-discovery. The song speaks about traveling and riding the strings of time, symbolizing a journey through life and experiences. The mention of "blasting off at the speed of light" and rocking the eons back and forth into the night suggests a desire to break free from constraints and explore beyond one's limitations.
The lyrics also emphasize the importance of introspection and self-reflection. The line "Gaze at the pale blue dot" alludes to contemplating one's place in the vast universe and recognizing the interconnectedness of all things. The idea of throwing the broken pieces of a mirror to the stars symbolizes letting go of past insecurities and embracing one's true self. By doing so, everywhere one goes becomes a reflection of their authentic identity.
The song then highlights the limitations imposed by societal norms and encourages breaking down the walls that confine one's perspective. The lyrics suggest that breaking down these walls leads to freedom, implying the importance of thinking beyond the confines of one's own mind and expanding one's horizons. Ultimately, the song expresses the idea that by embracing self-discovery, reflection, and breaking free from constraints, a person can truly find their own sense of freedom and authenticity.
