The group consists of Eunha (은하), Sinb (신비) and Umji (엄지), also known for being part of the girl group GFRIEND. They debuted with Beam of Prism on February 9, 2022 with "BOP BOP!" as title track.

The group's name is an abbreviation for "VIVId dayZ", which brings together the concepts of "clear, intense, and days" and signifies that the group will become artists who confidently express their colors in the world. The Korean pronunciation is "bi-bi-ji", that refers to the names of the members: Eunha (Jung Eun-bi), Sinb (Hwang Eun-bi) and Umji.

On February 21, Mnet revealed that the group would be participating in their reality show Queendom 2, which began airing on March 31. The group released "Red Sun!" for the final mission to release an original song for the show.

On July 6, the trio released their second mini album "Summer Vibe".
