The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

The Bonesaw ..
Michael Monyar Romo Picazo Yes. I am unequivocally saying that they would have been better off stripping down to their underpants. Two elements are at play in this scenario (which people have stated is a true event that happened - I've read several accounts regarding the fact that Germany conscripted citizens of countries they had invaded and pressed them into service):
1 - The conscripted soldiers didn't kill anyone and they were waiting for the real Germans to either push the Americans back into the sea or for the Americans to get the upper-hand and run the Germans off from their positions. At some point, even if they weren't in a position to see how the Americans were doing, they had to have figured out that they were winning (because the Germans wouldn't have left their positions otherwise).
2 - They were lying about not having killed anyone. This one makes more sense to me. I have a hard time believing German officers would have let the Czech and Polish conscripts cower in the corner (they would have shot them on sight). However, there is also another possibility, which would relate to #1, in that they were in a fighting position and acting like they were gunning down Americans but were instead missing intentionally.
It was undoubtedly the most stressful moment of their lives (I'm sure they weren't thinking straight) and it's easy to say in hindsight, but, if I had been conscripted into service against a foreign enemy that did not speak my language, I'd like to think that there is no way that I'd go surrender to them, while wearing the uniform of the guys who had just murdered an insane number of their friends. But, I agree... they probably weren't considering that the Americans might just shoot and kill them regardless of the fact that they were unarmed and trying to surrender.

Don’t tempt fate, my guy. Economic depression, global pandemic, misinformation... they’re all gundpowder.

@Synthemesc the next 5 or so years are gonna be tough, but I'm cautiously optimistic :)

Afghan war, iraq war, Syrian war and Islamic state. Just as brutal if not more brutal than a world war.

Give it time.

The guy with his guts out screaming for his mom gave me chills for years. Only thing that comes to mind when i think about this movie.

Same, that and the guy walking around in the inferno looking for his arm.

When I first watched it I could barely sleep because of the Omaha beach scene, this more specifically, was something I couldn’t, and haven’t, forgotten. It’s horrifying.

And that is from actual account. You can find many accounts of this type of thing from many battles.
