For months the members of Venona have tested the integrity of this word, as well as its meaning to their lives. Formed in December of 2007, they started with the simple desire to create a sound that was as powerful as it was melodic, as intricate as it was catchy, but most importantly, a sound that was true as well as meaningful. And even though the original members may have come from different backgrounds this was the foundation upon which Venona would be built upon.
Much has changed since the bands original conception, but together guitarists Al Portera and Lance Camann, guitarist and keyboardist Justin Gammella, drummer Mike Donovan, bassist Bill Sager, and the newest addition to the lineup, vocalist Breanna Broghamer still commit to this idea. The road has been long and difficult, and at times demoralizing and almost disheartening during the lengthy search for the perfect vocalist. During that time, Venona has crafted a sound that they can be proud of, to say the least. However, this will be no recollection of the past, or remembrance of what was for the past six months, for now the six members of Venona have their sights set on the future, and they hope you do too.
Now, with the promise of a solid lineup and a very exciting couple of months lying ahead, Venona prepares for this said future. With an EP on the horizon, one can expect to see a lineup of shows set across the region, as well as a great deal more coming soon leading up to its eventual and exciting release. And it will be exciting. If there is one thing that the members of Venona want to tell you is that they have spending hours upon hours of practice time writing, rewriting, demoing, and perfecting what will be their debut release.
Thank you for your continued support. We love our fans and we love meeting new people. So please, feel free to message us, comment us, or talk to us at any one of our shows. It’s our promise to you to continue to communicate, to create, to play, and most of all, persevere. We hope you accept what we have to offer with open arms as we do all those who take the time to check us out, and we happily invite you to take part in all that was, is, and will be.
