2) White Lies was a one piece band consisting of Haydé Walraet from Belgium. Currently known as Haydé. She had her small claim to fame with her cover of the Kaiser Chiefs' song, "Heat Dies Down" which was accepted as a heart warming cover considering Haydé had minimal live footage to work with to re-interpret it her own way.
She also covered the Little Man Tate song "You And Me Might Be Alright, You Know" which used the same technique of acoustic guitar, layered, precious vocals and simple harmonies throughout.
But she is not just a cover artist, Haydé also writes her own songs and released a demo of seven of them in the latter half of 2006. Her style is often simple and laid back with songs to calm the mind and ease you into the day. Her demo was again confronted with good press who saw her demo as a humane approach to life from the eyes of a young girl.
3) White Lies was an Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom based alternative rock band. The first years of the bands career, they were going under the name Rota. In 2004 the band released their self-titled album White Lies, having received positive reviews. Although in 2005 the band went its seperate ways, with each member having his own new band.

Buckle up for loneliness
Right time to get away
Where I'm going I couldn't care
I'm bored and I'm afraid
I'm falling like rain for you
So tired and picking skin
Bored girls and sad boys
Dull roads to anywhere
Bad sex and ethanol
High scores on solitaire
I'm numb and getting off
Getting real numb with you
Big plans that never come
Holding out for something new
Can anybody hear me?
Is anybody out there?
Not a soul in a streetlight
This might be love
This might be love
Hold tight for heartbreak
Buckle up for loneliness
Right time to get away
Where I'm going I couldn't care
Dead dreams and dirty clothes
Calls that are Long overdue
Cheap highs and souvenirs
So many knots that I'll never undo
Can anybody hear me?
Is anybody out there?
Not a soul in a streetlight
This might be love
This might be love
This might be love
This might be love
"Streetlights" by White Lies is a song that explores themes of loneliness, boredom, and escapism. The lyrics suggest that the singer is going through a rough patch in their life and is trying to escape their problems by embarking on a journey to an unknown destination. The opening lines "Hold tight for heartbreak, buckle up for loneliness" set the tone for the song and suggest that the singer is bracing themselves for a difficult journey.
Throughout the song, the singer expresses their feelings of boredom and dissatisfaction with their life, describing themselves as "bored and afraid" and "falling like rain". The lines "Big plans that never come, holding out for something new" suggest that the singer is searching for something more meaningful in their life but hasn't been able to find it yet. The chorus ("Can anybody hear me? Is anybody out there? Not a soul in a streetlight. This might be love, this might be love") suggests that the singer is looking for connection and affection but hasn't found it yet.
The song also touches on themes of regret and missed opportunities, with lines like "dead dreams and dirty clothes, calls that are long overdue, and so many knots that I'll never undo". These lines suggest that the singer has made mistakes in the past and is struggling to move on from them. Overall, "Streetlights" is a melancholic and introspective song that explores the darker side of human emotions.
