In 1991, after the recording of its first demo-tape, White Skull was noticed by the audience and the specialized Italian metal press. The band started a live-promotion in order to increase its own experience. In May 1994, WS released their second demo entitled "Save the Planet", which received excellent reviews.
Excellent reviews and extensive live appearances brought the band in touch with a few Italian labels. However, their music was considered "not suitable for the market"… thus, the guys were asked to change sound and music style. Being fond of classical Heavy Metal and followers of bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Scorpions, Black Sabbath and Saxon, the Skulls decided to go on with their type of music, because of their belief in true Metal life-style. White Skull then contributed to two Heavy Metal compilation:
* "Nightpieces 4" (in January 1995) and "Area Sismica" (in June 1995).

Mangler
White Skull Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Only the stars know what it's for
Seven symbols in position crack the code
Egyptians know the score
[Chorus]
In the sky The Mangler
Human creatures were easy to rule
But the newcome God was dangerous and bad
The Stargate must be closed
[Chorus]
In the sky The Mangler
Just beware the ancient profecy
When the mangler will be back
Hieroglyph writting point out the fate
In the next future he will be back
Never try to let this alien come again
This Rha is not the sun
The lyrics to White Skull's "Mangler" describe an ancient alien technology that resides deep within the desert, hidden away from human knowledge. The sun that it emits is a mystery to us, only understood by the stars. The seven symbols are needed to crack the code and reveal its purpose. The Egyptians, who have long since disappeared, are the only ones who know what the symbols mean. The chorus refers to "The Mangler," which is believed to be the name given to the alien technology.
The second verse speaks of an alien who discovered the way to Earth and found that it was easy to control the humans. However, a "newcomer God" arrived, one that was dangerous and evil. To prevent this evil from returning, the Stargate had to be closed. The chorus repeats, reminding the listener of "The Mangler" in the sky.
The final verse warns of an ancient prophecy that points to the return of "The Mangler." The hieroglyphics reveal that it will come back in the future, but it must be avoided at all costs. The last line states that this "Rha" is not a true sun, implying that its purpose is something more sinister.
Overall, the lyrics to "Mangler" paint a picture of an unknown alien technology that has been around for thousands of years. The Egyptians knew of its existence and purpose, but it has since been lost to time. It is a warning to humanity that, if left unchecked, the alien technology could bring about our downfall.
