In the lyrics of Wizkid's song "Pressure," the artist delves into a story revolving around the intense allure and allure of a woman, symbolized by her 'Ikebe' (buttocks) causing him intense "pressure." The repetition and emphasis on this physical feature represent the overwhelming effect she has on him, causing him to desire her passionately. The lines "Ikebe causing commotion, Ikebe wey dey bad I must concur" reinforce the idea of her irresistible charm and appeal that he cannot resist. The choice to focus on this aspect of her character speaks to the power she holds over him and emphasizes his inability to look away or ignore her intensity.
The lyrics also touch on the deep feelings he has for this woman, expressing that she is the only one who can make him feel love and desire so strongly. The phrase "Na only you wey dey make me dey love every night" alludes to a deep emotional connection and a sense of intimacy that goes beyond physical attraction. Despite this deep connection, there seems to be an element of mystery and silent communication in their relationship, as he mentions, "Never really speak on the things I don't know, Omo na you be my business o." This suggests that their bond transcends words and relies on a mutual understanding and unspoken connection.
The artist also highlights the importance of this woman in his life, emphasizing that she is his focus and priority with the lines "Omo na you be my business o." This statement underscores her significance and centrality in his world, suggesting that she is the driving force behind his emotions and actions. The artist expresses a desire to reciprocate this love and affection, promising to love her deeply and be there for her, despite any challenges or doubts that may arise. The repeated refrain "If I wan dey love, I wan dey love you my baby o" reinforces his commitment to her and his acknowledgment of the profound impact she has on his life, surpassing material concerns like money.
