1) A Mexican rock band, that's not not afraid of experimenting, with a modern sound, an eclectic style, some British influences & overall, their music's sophisticated without loss of rock energy. Their lyrics cover many subjects / feelings, with the same level of sophistication that their music shows, plus honesty. They usually write songs in Spanish, sometimes in English or a combination of both languages.
They began as a band in 1994; as time went by, the band changed members several times until the definite lineup stuck in 1997 with León Larregui (vocals and guitar), Sergio Acosta (guitar), Beto Cabrera (drums), Ángel Mosqueda (bass) and Chucho Báez (keyboards). Then the band made a demo and many gigs on their own with the little resources that they had; with all that, Zoé began to call the attention of the hispanic radio stations in the U.S. Later in 1998, Zoé signed a record deal with Sony Music Mexico and began making their first record in 2000; this album, self titled, came out and quickly became a favorite of the audience in Mexico; after that, the band performed songs in soundracks of movies such as 'Amar Te Duele', 'Ladies Night' and 'The Dreamer'.
Fast forward to 2003. Zoé, along with producer Phil Vinall (Placebo, Elastica, Pulp), recorded their second album called 'Rocanlover', which became more successful than the first one thanks to hit songs like 'Peace & Love' and 'Veneno', which aired in several TV countdowns.
In 2005, after three years of working together, Zoé left Sony Music because of the lack of real interest that this record label had in them and signed a new deal with Noiselab; with a newfound belief in record labels, Zoé made an EP called 'The Room', which debuted at the top of the rankings in Mexico. This EP includes, among others, the song 'Dead' (first single); also, are including "She Comes" and "Morning Watts" as new songs and also some remixes of "Dead" by great electronic artists from Mexico such as Sonido Lasser Drakkar or Los Dynamite, plus a couple of videos.
On July 12th, 2006; Zoé (now wih Rodrigo Guardiola in the drums) presented their more recent production, "Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón atómico de la Vía Láctea", a sophisticate, layered production, which tops several magazines' rankings. Both Zoé and producer Phil Vinall worked very hard in Tornillo, Texas, a remote town in the desert, to get "Memo Rex" finished.
In fall 2006, Zoé headlined the Rockampeonato Tour, along with other Noiselab signees like Los Dynamite and Los Odio!, which held shows at cities like Mérida, Guadalajara and many others. This is the biggest tour Zoé has been a part of since they were formed.
In 2007 Zoé recorded "281107", a live album that celebrates their first 10 years as a band, it was recorded on the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, this recording went platinum pretty quickly which is something unusual for live recordings in Mexico. On November 11th 2008 "Repileptric" Zoé's seventh studio album was released.

A thousand words painted beautifully
In the clouds you're out of reach
On the ground you are my peace
I know you're all the same
Know you're all the same
Yeah you're all the same
But you're not the same to me
You're the one the two and three
You're my love and all I need
You're the only one I see
I know you're all the same
Know you're all the same
Yeah you're all the same
But you're not the same to me
Ooo lost in oblivion
I've caught a million
Pieces that fall away
Ooo lost in oblivion
I've caught a million
pieces that fall away
Tried so hard but I tried too late
All I've got is what all you gave
Only promise was the pain
I'm the only one to blame
I know you're all the same
Know you're all the same
Yeah you're all the same
But you're not the same to me
Ain't no luck but the luck I made
On your side put it on my grave
Only one thats on my brain
Only one that I would save
I know you're all the same
Know you're all the same
Yeah you're all the same
But you're not the same to me
But maybe I'm lost without
Every other day is brand new
But what if I fade away
Would you still play your games
What if I'm lost without
Every other day is brand new
But what if I fade away
Would you still play your games
Ooo lost in oblivion
I've caught a million
Pieces that fall away
Ooo lost in oblivion
I've caught a million
Pieces that fall away
The lyrics to Zoé's song "Lost in Space" delve into the themes of love, obsession, and self-reflection. The first verse introduces the singer's intense infatuation with someone, expressing their deep emotional connection through poetic imagery. The phrase "In the clouds you're out of reach, on the ground you are my peace" suggests that the object of their affection is simultaneously elusive and grounding, bringing them a sense of tranquility.
The chorus reflects the conflicting emotions that arise from this love. The repetition of "I know you're all the same, but you're not the same to me" reveals the singer's struggle to reconcile their perception of this person with their understanding that people in general can be predictable and flawed. They acknowledge that everyone is similar in some ways, yet this person holds a unique significance to them.
The second verse acknowledges the singer's realization that their efforts in the relationship have fallen short. Lines like "Tried so hard but I tried too late" convey their sense of regret and the understanding that they haven't been able to fully meet the expectations of their loved one. The phrase "Only promise was the pain, I'm the only one to blame" suggests that their promises led to pain, and they hold themselves responsible for the outcome.
The bridge raises existential questions and doubts about the future of the relationship. The singer asks what would happen if they were to fade away and whether this person would still play their games. This line reflects their fear of being forgotten, their desire for genuine connection, and their suspicion that the other person may not truly care.
The song concludes with the repetition of the chorus, emphasizing the singer's feeling of being "lost in oblivion" and the constant struggle to piece themselves back together. The phrase "caught a million pieces that fall away" signifies their attempts to salvage what remains of their shattered emotions, implying that they have become fragmented in the process.
Overall, "Lost in Space" captures the complexities of love, self-doubt, and the struggle to differentiate between personal experiences and generalizations about people. The lyrics convey a sense of longing, introspection, and an acknowledgment that relationships can be both beautiful and challenging.
