Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Heck's music encompasses acoustic and lo-fi compositions. They have released a total of eight albums and EPs. However, after the release of the album "dandelion hands is dead!! vol 2," Heck announced on their Tumblr that they moved on from the project, effectively marking the end of Dandelion Hands.
Heck emphasizes that the sound of Dandelion Hands varies depending on the album. With a history of consistently releasing albums, their music showcases a range of nuanced sonic qualities. Dandelion Hands explores themes of love, trauma, and navigating through life's ups and downs. In terms of inspiration, Heck's creative process revolves around making music that they themselves would enjoy if they weren't the creator. This approach influences their decision to experiment with different styles and genres while adhering to a set of personal rules. Lyrically, the majority of Heck's songs draw inspiration from their own experiences and the people they encounter.
One track that garnered attention is "How to never stop being sad", featured on both big Spotify playlists "IRL ANGEL" and "Lo-fi Indie". Heck recalls a dream where a demon emerged from under their bed, compelling them to write the song to prevent dire consequences. The vivid imagery and sense of urgency ultimately led to the creation of the track.
Dandelion Hands' material, including spoken word tracks, often encapsulates the emotions and themes associated with adolescence, growing up, loneliness, uncertainty, mental illness, and love. This intentional focus on personal experiences has resulted in a discography that resembles an introspective diary, offering listeners a glimpse into Heck's journey and evolution as an artist.

@clampettie
I've never felt so strongly connected to a song before. Having been called 'Rachael' in the past and moving out of who that person was and becoming 'Wren'. The song is so familiar and i feel so at peace listening to it, this is truly an experience
