Music of happysad is made of mainly melodic rock, with influence of punk and reggae, that are accompanied with characteristic lyrics. Only in 2004 the band has played over 150 concerts, including supporting such famous groups as Kult, Pidżama Porno and T.Love.

The lyrics of happysad's Nostress portray a sense of detachment from the world and the people around the artist, as well as a general feeling of irresponsibility and nihilism. The first few lines express a lack of interest in the passage of time and the infrequency of encounters between the artist and someone else they used to know, possibly a former lover or friend. The next stanza highlights the societal decline of the younger generation, with references to alcoholism and a lack of rationality, and the fact that the artist and their peers do not hold much regard for each other.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Nostress - myślę tylko o sobie" (Nostress - I only think of myself) which emphasizes the self-centered attitude that the artist has adopted, with an additional mention of "podróże z i pod prąd" (traveling against the current), alluding to a non-conformist, counterculture lifestyle.
