He found his passion for music when he was 12 years old when his cousin let him borrow their acoustic guitar, with which n,n. covered popular emo songs.
He went through school going to and from bands, most of them never getting anywhere. While attending college, he started focusing on his own music, and then the name “nothing, nowhere.” was born. The inspiration for his music comes from blending more of the “heavier hip-hop elements” with “organic instruments,” while the inspiration for his stage name came from philosopher Alan Watts.
Since the inception of nothing, nowhere., he has released four full-lengths—Trauma Factory from 2021, ruiner from 2018, Reaper from 2017, and the nothing, nowhere. lp from 2015—as well as three EPs; BLOODLUST from 2019, bummer from 2015 and Who Are You? from 2016. He has also released many singles, including the popular “Deadbeat Valentine” and “Twenty Something."
He has also released material such as the demo. EP in 2013 and never, forever. EP under the never, forever. name in 2016.
Though some people falsely think that nothing, nowhere. is more than one person, he has on several occasions announced that he is a solo act with touring musicians.

Heard you blew up, then you broke down
Heard your new song on the TV
Saw your old face on a magazine
You must love everything, man, I wish I could say it
But I'm stuck in this town on my own
Feeling down, what's it like now to be famous?
Tell me right now, 'cause you made it
I'm not okay, I'm not alright
I need a break, I need a light
I'm not okay, I'm not alright
I gotta keep it a buck, keep it a buck
Think I got lost in a chase, I'm feeling stuck
Feel like this every day, shit kinda suck
Shoutout to the 508, tell 'em what's up
I gotta keep it a buck, keep it a buck
I know that now I'm puttin' on for 'em like yuh
I been working overtime, doing too much
I don't need you telling me how to feel
I gotta keep it a buck, keep it a buck
Wake up, the same bed, you're goin' out, I'm staying in
I don't know what day it is, I guess that's the way it is
Seems like everyday, every night same thing
Another week, another month, another year wasted
Oh no, why you gotta live like that, yeah
I got it, now I wanna bring it right back, 'cause
Misguided, see, the grass over here ain't green, yeah
Sometimes I'ma dream, no it ain't what it seems like
I'm not okay, I'm not alright
I need a break, I need a light
I'm not okay, I'm not alright
I gotta keep it a buck, keep it a buck
Think I got lost in a chase, I'm feeling stuck
Feel like this every day, shit kinda suck
Shoutout to the 508, tell 'em what's up
I gotta keep it a buck, keep it a buck
I know that now I'm puttin' on for 'em like yuh
I been working overtime, doing too much
I don't need you telling me how to feel
I gotta keep it a buck, keep it a buck
The song "buck" by nothingnowhere. explores the feelings of being stuck, lost, and uncertain in life, and comparing those feelings with the perceived success and happiness of an old acquaintance. The opening lines suggest that the singer has heard news of this person's life through social media or other distant sources, and portrays a mixed reaction of curiosity, jealousy, and admiration.
The chorus emphasizes the singer's existing mental struggles and their need for a break or some kind of relief. The phrase "keep it a buck" is slang for being honest, which reflects the singer's desire for authenticity and truth in their own life. The second verse expands on the idea of feeling stagnant and isolated, with a monotony of day-to-day routines leading to a sense of time and potential being wasted.
Overall, the song acknowledges the difficulties of chasing goals, dealing with mental health struggles, and comparing oneself to others in the age of social media. It is a reminder to stay true to oneself and to prioritize mental well-being, even in the face of perceived success from others.
