Among the musicians that played in this band throughout the several line-up changes are Frederyko (or Fredera), Wagner Tiso, Zé Rodrix and others. They first appeared in a concert with Milton Nascimento in 1970, and in the same year recorded their self titled debut. In the following year, they released another self titled work also known as "Nova Estrela" because of the homonymous film in which the band participated. Milton Nascimento came back in the group history in 1973 by recording the vocals for their third and final album, "Matança do Porco".
The band also joined Nascimento in one of this artist's discs, "Milton" in 1970.
