Real Gone Kid
Deacon Blue Lyrics

And I'd tear out the pages
That I've got in these books
Just to find you some words
Just to get some reward
And I'll show you all the photographs
That I ever got took
And I'll play you old 45's
That now mean nothing to me

And you're a real gone kid
And maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
I'll do what I should have did

Now I've stood on your shadow
And I've watched it grow
And it's shaken and it's driven me
And let me know
Let me know let me know let me know
About all the old 45s
And the paperback rooms
And it's scattered all the photographs
Of summers and suns

And you're a real gone kid
And maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
Maybe now baby
I'll do what I should have did
Cause you're a real
Gone

It's criminal when you see awesome music like this from a genuinely talented group getting only a handful of views on here when talentless gimmicky shite like Gangnam style has nearly 3 BILLION!!!!!

harrier850

@HazChick Games Fair comment but surely even you can't defend "Gangnam style" lol

Mate... Richard Wagner died in 1883. He once said "Music has taken a bad turn; these young people have no idea how to write a melody, they just give us shavings."

Every generation thinks the new generation's music is shit lol. What constitutes good Music, where the public is concerned at least, is just too subjective to call anything talentless gimmicky shite. I guarantee that we both like something the other one finds fucking horrendous.

Deacon Blue were one of the most underrated groups of the 80's.

As this album is.to me one of the best pop albums ever.no one bad song on it.we grew up listening this on the radio.the time the radio was just music and only music and watching MTV.the 80s and 90s,the golden age of music.and not only music.how i miss that time.

They were never underrated. This shit defined the late 80's. I know. I was around then.
