When one could assume, &ME entered the House and Techno world somewhat out of the blue, it is due to his sublime modesty that’s already captured in his alias. Coming from Hamburg to Berlin in 2004 his talent was soon recognized by folks like DJ Hell or DJ T. who hired him as their co-producer.
Besides, he was playing the clubs (national and international) all week every week and putting his effort in remixes for the likes of Roxy Music, Tiefschwarz or Anthony Rother. But as soon as he dropped his first solo productions, he finally made himself a name in a quite unparalleled way. “F.I.R.” – his first release on keinemusik, a collective of Berlin based DJs and producers, he helped founding in 2009, was a massive clubhit, but in the end not much more than a foretaste of things to come. Releases and remixes on Front Room, Souvenir, Rebirth, Liebe*Detail, Saved etc. followed, his reputation as a gifted producer and DJ extraordinaire spread even more into international realms, and that’s where he stands right now, as his blend of Techno and soulful Housemusic took incredible shape: Many new projects in focus and clearly visible as one of the most unique and original figures in the game.

I don't think &ME copied anything here.
Yeah the arp pattern is the same from the 'Visions' track. But guess what? This pattern has been used countless times on countless tracks before.
The thing is that the arpeggio is the hook of this track. With scales and chords limiting the harmonic options, it's obvious that the same arp sequence will be spotted every once in a while on different tracks.
Come on... We're talking about a 3 step arpeggio sequence here. It's not a 16 bar chord progression...
Both tracks are good, but making a big deal out of this is just non-sense. It's like someone claiming copyright for the 4/4 beat signature.

Yes, it's a 4 step sequence, typo detected.
It changes virtually nothing, the way I see it.
A 1/16th 4 note sequence for one bar loop when you have only 7 available (if you're doing it by the scale) where from that 7 notes you will most likely pick the tonic ones (1st, 5th and 4th in whole tones) leads to this.
So with this in mind, even if you transpose up or down, the same sequence has a big chance of being used because of the relationship between the notes, and you can verify this in every scale.
What I'm trying to say here is that you have limited options if you're doing things by the book, and from all the choices you could make, there's this one or two that sound better.
I bet that if the arp was running behind a string chord progression or if this track had a hook lead, nobody would be talking about it.
Further more, if things were like that, in the 80's/90's when roughly 80% of the electronic music was made using the TR-808/909 and with elements like the kicks, snares and hats placed on the same grid position we were doomed with everyone pointing his fingers at everybody.
Every chord progression you come up with now has already been used by someone in the past. If you're into this type of things, check out Everything Is A Remix, it's a 3(?) part documentary focused around this subject.
Also it goes without saying that this is just my personal opinion on the matter, nothing more, nothing less.
