Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
These lyrics are from the song "Meisou" by パスピエ. The song presents a beautiful and poetic description of a journey of self-discovery and finding inner peace. The opening line "Hiding the key to my heart in a flower" sets the tone for the introspective nature of the song. It suggests a desire to protect and keep one's vulnerability and emotions safe, symbolized by the key hidden in a flower. The following line describes living in a lake made of morning dew, which evokes a sense of tranquility and purity.
The next verse introduces the image of an ugly monster with horns to which the memories are attached. Here, the monster may represent the burdens and negative experiences that weigh on the singer's mind and heart. The presence of a swan watching implies an observer, perhaps representing the singer's desire for acceptance and understanding.
As the song continues, the lyrics express the transformation of tears into valuable and precious things like pearls or a necklace. This suggests a transformation of pain and sadness into something beautiful and valuable. The lyrics touch on the idea of healing and resilience, as well as the importance of cherishing and connecting with one's emotions.
The final lines express gratitude and a desire to offer a necklace made of morning dew to someone, symbolizing a gift of pure and authentic emotions. Overall, "Meisou" is a song that speaks to the universal journey of self-discovery, the complexities of emotions, and the healing power of embracing and expressing one's true self.
