The lyrics to "Candle Light" express a feeling of deep longing for a past love. The singer reflects on the intense pain that takes hold of her each night, now that the person she thought would always be by her side is gone. She had believed that she understood her lover better than anyone else, but now she finds herself alone, yearning for their time together. The singer wishes to relive the past and once again share the intimate moments they once had by the light of candles.
The song explores the idea that sometimes we hold onto our treasures so tightly, afraid of losing them, that we might lose sight of their true value. The singer recognizes that, in keeping her love in a tight embrace, she had neglected to appreciate what they had. She hopes to rekindle the relationship with the person who had once been her most cherished treasure.
The song is poignantly emotive, with a clear and sincere message. It evokes feelings of nostalgia and heartache, and is sure to resonate with anyone who has loved and lost.
