His orchestral works, considered to be some of the most epic, grandiose and romantic of recent times, include the musical scores of Battle Royale, Giant Robo and Stratos 4. He studied at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo and completed master's degree in 1982.
Amano's orchestra of choice is Poland's Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra (and its associated choir).
He has composed 12 symphonies and many pieces for wind ensemble that are recorded by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and regularly performed by bands at the All-Japan Band Association competitions.
Although he now composes mainly classical music, he sometimes composes additional music and arranges for Shiro Sagisu. His compositions for Bleach and Berserk with the latter brought him great success.

Shuya Nanahara: How do you know how to treat her?
Shogo Kawada: My dad was a doctor.
Noriko Nakagawa: This food is delicious.
Shogo Kawada: Of course it is, my dad was a cook.
Shuya Nanahara: You know how to steer a boat as well?
Shoga Kawada: Yep, my dad used to be a fisherman.

I believe he actually said that once more as well. Anyway, glad to see that BR has fans to this day, I was really sad that a lot of it's fandom vanished years ago.... Thank God that there are people that still love this work of art.

@Deyuo He just says it the three times above I believe. Also the fanbase didn't vanish, it's just that it only becomes active again each time a new boxset releases such as the new limited edition Arrow Films one. With the last piece of content from the author being 2013's Angel's Border, things otherwise remain dormant.
It's one of the most popular cult films though and a lot of people will keep it in their hearts for the rest of their lives including myself because of it's impact, so it will never be forgotten.

"Thank You...In the End I'm glad I found true friends."-Kawada's last words before he succumbs to his wounds. He would've been an excellent member of Wild Seven in BR 2.

Such a poignant movie. I'm glad he finally discovered what her last smile meant.

Kawada is such a pure character :(

we need more movies with music like this. It has gotten to the point where I can't watch a preview without rolling my eyes because it just the same recycled garbage and generic themes that don't make us question anything or think about anything. We need movies to be unique again, bring something to the table, and if its controversial, then I have another word for it: progress.

Truly a work of art... i hate it when people compare Hunger Games to this masterpiece. You can not compare them... you just can not. Battle Royale is just beautiful and it is a film you just do not get nowadays.

Probably my favourite film ever made, I was surprised to see this comment was only made one day ago, since a lot of the fandom vanished about 8 years ago. I've also seen some uploads by some newer fans, so I am sensing a sort of revival!
