Beni showed off her dance skills and R&B taste with her second single, Infinite.... Her third single, Here Alone, quickly followed and was used as the outro for the TV ASAHI 45th Anniversary Special Drama, Kiyoharu Matsumoto’s [Kurokawa no Techo].
2005 was a good year for Beni. Her long-awaited debut album Beni was released in February, receiving acclaim for the variation in vocals ranging from R&B to drum n' bass and also ballads. In June, Beni released “Hikari no Kazu Dake Glamorous" which was played during a commercial she appeared in promoting KOSÉ's new [VISÉE] line of makeup. In the same month, she sang both the Japanese and American national anthems for the 43,000 people attending the halftime show of [NFL TOKYO 2005] at TOKYO DOME. Beni also actively participated in avex’s Summer Festival, [a-nation]. In December she released a new single, Cherish, which served as the theme song for the Japanese television show Music Fighter. The accompanying B-side was the third outro theme to the popular anime series Eyeshield 21.
During 2005, Beni also covered Christina Milian for the theme song of Disney’s popular animated series, [Kim Possible]. The music video will be promoted not only in the US, but also in 68 counties and 100 million families worldwide. At the 19th Japan Gold Disc Award Ceremony, Beni received the “Best New Artist of the Year” award. Nearly two years since her debut, this 19-year-old Sophia University student has already left an impact on the music industry and continues to work towards international recognition as a first-class artist and entertainer. Currently (as of spring 2006) Beni is the lead heroine in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Beautiful Game”.

The lyrics to 安良城紅's song Daphne describe a sense of letting go and moving on, as the singer reflects on their past with someone they have said goodbye to. The opening line translates to "Just as hard snow eventually melts, it seems the season has come to let go of your hand", suggesting the inevitability of change and the passage of time. Despite being born in the same place, the two have explored differences and their dreams separately, but the singer acknowledges the importance and impact of their relationship. They hold onto the warm memories of their departure, and are able to smile and embrace the future with the knowledge that their experiences together have been transformative.
The song carries a bittersweet tone, with a recognition that their time together has reached its end, but also that it has allowed them to grow and discover new things. The repeated mention of the scent of daphne adds to the wistful atmosphere, as the singer walks the familiar streets and reflects on what has been left behind.

The fact that that there's an american singer singing with a Japanese singer is just awesome. I'm so glad America is starting to recognize Korean and Japanese artists more. I never thought I'd see it happen.
