Ace Troubleshooter came to an abrupt end in February 2005 when lead singer John Warne left to play bass for Relient K. Toby David posted the announcement of the Ace's death on the band's message board, mentioning that even though he was not an original member of the band, he felt like he was. It has been said that Ace was starting to fall apart as it was, and they were not going anywhere, which may have led to the band's split.
The Ace Troubleshooter lineup changed several times; even Relient K former drummer Dave Douglas filled in as a guitarist for a short time. Only two original members remained when the band came to an end. Those two members, John Warne and Josh Abbott, both played in the short-lived band Guerilla Rodeo shortly before Ace's death. While John Warne went on to play for Relient K, Josh Abbott went on to play for My Red Hot Nightmare.

Just look and feel your way through
Can't tough this tempest just yet
The hopes and fears in the sirens sounding
Beating hearts, tears as the rain starts pounding
Comfort in stereo sirens warning
It's not in me, but I'll recover it
It's not in me
Go run and hide as the storm comes in
It's never enough
I'll be alright and I won't let it in
Standing ground, standing with sirens waking
Firmly rooted, ever bending, never breaking
It's not in me, but I'll recover it
It's not in me
Go run and hide as the storm comes in
It's never enough
I'll be alright and I won't let it in
Ace Troubleshooter's song Tempest is a reflection on the emotional turmoil that comes with a tempest or a storm. The lyrics suggest that the best way to deal with the storm is to take things slow, to "just look and feel your way through" rather than to try and rush through it. The tempest represents the emotional upheavals that we all experience in life, and the song suggests that the best way to deal with these emotions is to face them head-on, to stand your ground and not let them overwhelm you.
The lyrics also suggest that there is comfort to be found in the midst of the storm. The "stereo sirens warning" can be seen as a metaphor for the people around us who warn us of danger and offer us support in our times of need. The song acknowledges that facing our fears and emotions can feel like fighting a battle, but it also suggests that we are stronger than we think we are, and that we can weather the storm if we stay true to ourselves and to those who support us.
Overall, Ace Troubleshooter's song Tempest encourages listeners to face their emotions head-on, to take things slow, and to find strength in the support of those around them. It acknowledges that the storm can be overwhelming, but also suggests that we are stronger than we think we are, and that we can weather the storm if we stand our ground.
