It never fails to amaze me how these aren't more recognised... Yes, the rate they release music isn't up there - but f me, the quality of production in every track is top stuff..

regardless of vocalist, you can't hate on Acres... The cleans in this are brilliant and although you can draw comparisons with other bands the music is differentiated enough for them to stand in their own right and not be considered a copycat band..

I personally rate both old and new.. Tallest of Mountains, Write Home, this, In sickness & Health.

Whatever anyone thinks aboht the band is their own opinion, granted. I personally can't wait for them to release something new in Feb!

Honestly-- I fell in love with Acres as they were before

but to be frank, I love this new Acres more than what they were. They still have the same vibe and feel but with new sound and style, while also incorporating their original styles. I love it. Don't understand the hate.

Ben is an amazing vocalist, whether you guys like the cleans or not. He brings talent and that's what matters, no one should ever try and fill someone else's shoes in the exact same way. Using his own vocal style is always the way to go.

This guy can do clean vocals and scream better than Morgan (Morgan isn't good, he just screamed with his voice and put a little of drive on it, nothing amazing, but it had a lot of emotion... but if you like more him or the new vocalist, it goes with your taste. I like both). The instrumental is basically THE SAME Acres, and just because they changed the singing style people are saying "wow, they went to shit" "look at this, it's so different, not Acres" "Shit shit shit shit". Grow up, people

LOVE HOW the instruments are like The Tallest of Mountains. They don't have that beautiful passionate ex vocalist but even this guys voice is smoother and i'd rather have it more flowy than straight up be a different disaster of voice that don't go with their instruments

I like it. Though i can understand people not liking the change of style. I love the old stuff because it hammers emotions into your face. I realy love the dynamic of realy slow parts, wich just went from 0 to 100 in one second and pushed you away. Like in something to write home about. This two very different kinds of elements in the music combinded so fine impressed me always again, it always was fitting. i liked the screaming. Singing from this guy is amazing, no questions, but on the bandcamp page someone defined acres as "music you scream into the face of the people you love", wich was very fitting imo. Im realy looking forward for new releases and how they perform live. But Bands evolve and change, they are people, and im fine with it, old stuff stays, new stuff comes, and im always happy to see people grow. Keep the Spirit!

I remember I listened to The Tallest of Mountains last year at some point and loved it, but didn't like the rest of their stuff, so I carried on and didn't listen to them after that. Then one of the members of the band tweeted Sam Carter (Architects) the other day asking him to listen to it, and I looked at it because I remembered the name.
Let me tell you this; I'm sure as hell glad I did! This is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. All the people holding onto the old Acres need to either move on or move with them, this is perfect in all aspects. Beautiful.

If a band kicks someone then they do it for a social reason. If the members don't get along or something goes wrong they do it for themselves so don't think that the band will give a shit whether or not you like the change because it's "not Acres". Change is what can make a band and all you wannabe music experts haven't given them a proper chance it's early days yet

I was really concerned about Morgan getting kicked out but all of my worries were put aside when I heard Ben sing. I love the direction this band is heading. They definitely have potential to get big. I love old and new Acres. Still one of my favorites.

Don't get me wrong, I really like this song, it sounds brilliant. However, this band were within my top 3 favourite and this song doesn't personally give me hope that they'll remain in that position for me. Regardless I'm still excited to see what is to come and it's nice to see the band stay alive rather than have died. Props guys, well done.

Anyone who is saying that this band has lost their sound because they got a new vocalist, while still retaining all of the original members, is refusing to see the forest for the trees. Vocals alone do not make a band, and I think these vocals are a big step up and, dare I say it, fit the sound better than any of their previous vocalists ever did.

There are very few bands that sound like Acres does currently. There are very few bands that can pull this off. It's not like Acres suddenly went Hands Like Houses or something. They're not Circa Survive. They're not Sleeping With Sirens. They're just Acres.
