hey 79steelymatt, yeah im 46 and lived in los alamitos (near long beach), anaheim etc. Parents lived in leisure world seal beach :) Anyway, late 90s it was tom leykis, adam carolla and howard stern. i cant get the time adam was talking about big hairy balls and describing how wrinkly and ugly they are for 10 minutes straight while drew tried to redirect to "serious" topics out of my head. Anyway you lived in socal during the best of times....we moved there in 1990 from amarillo tx and the culture shock was pretty intense, was 13 at the time. i really wanted some cool friends and so eventually started hanging out with the bodyboarders, listening to roots reggae and smoking herb while hitchhiking on PCH before we had our licenses. Those times are such a distant memory, don't think they exist really - they are a magic lost to time. Also loved Frys on 405 in fountain valley where i picked up some games for pc like thief, deus ex etc. Also mile square park for flying rc planes and i hiked all over san gabriels and even sierra nevadas backpacking like 10 times before I left. Yeah I left in 2009. One more thing, this convo was hilarious when they talked about the insane bullying as kids, i can relate but i didnt endure the lows they got to in some of their crazy shit but i hung out with older kids so i got it pretty good and grew up fast and hard. Take it easy man!
