Menken has collaborated with several renowned lyricists including Howard Ashman (1950-1991), Tim Rice and Stephen Schwartz. For his work he has won eight Academy Awards as well as ten additional nominations.
His best known work includes the Disney animated movies, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame, as well as Little Shop of Horrors, Enchanted, Tangled and most recently, Sister Act the Musical.

Menken's best performance of "Beauty and the Beast" since the '90s! When you watch other current videos of him performing it, he tends to fasten the tempo and performs it kind of hurriedly. But here, he slows it down and makes it more reminiscent of the classic slow and melodic 1991 song we all grew to love. God bless you, Alan Menken!

@Jacek Moroń he has played it so many times i think he feels like he is bothering people playing them again so he usually rushes though all his songs. What he does not know is that we could hear his songs million times over and not be bored. aint that right?
