We vowed our true love, though a word wasn't said
The world was in bloom, there were stars in the skies
Except for the few that were there in your eyes
Dear, as I held you close in my arms
Angels were singing a hymn to your charms
Two hearts gently beating, murmuring low
The night seemed to fade into blossoming dawn
The sun shone anew but the dance lingered on
Could we but recall that sweet moment sublime
We'd find that our love is unaltered by time
Dear, as I held you close in my arms
Angels were singing a hymn to your charms
Two hearts gently beating, murmuring low
"Darling, I love you so"
The song Anniversary Song by Anne Shelton is a nostalgic love song that tells the story of a couple reminiscing about the night they got married. The song begins with the couple remembering how they danced on their wedding night, vowing their love for each other without saying a word. The world was in bloom, and the skies were full of stars, except for the few that were reflected in the eyes of the person they love.
As the song progresses, the couple remembers how they felt holding each other close, with angels singing in reverence to their love. Their hearts were gently beating, murmuring low with the words "Darling, I love you so." The night seemed to fade into the morning, but the dance lingered on, as they held each other close in a moment that was pure and timeless.
The final verse speaks of the passage of time, and how their love is unaltered by it. The couple longs to recall that sweet, sublime moment when they first danced as husband and wife. They wish they could relive it, to remind them that their love is eternal and that nothing could ever change that.
Overall, Anniversary Song is a beautiful rendition of true love and the powerful emotions it brings with it. The song reminds us of the importance of holding on to those special moments in our lives and cherishing the love that we have, even when time tries to erode it.

The 8 people who downvoted this must be tonedeaf. This is a magnificent performance by an incredible voice, and anyone who doesn't get it doesn't deserve a pair of ears.

The melody is from the Serbian composer Josif Ivanovic, who studied and lived in Bucharest. The original title of the composition is "The Danube Waves" and is composed in the rhythm of the Waltz! Ektraordinario!
