A self-taught guitarist and song writer, Anuhea began showcasing her talents while boarding at Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu. ''I started writing songs... I was discovering my talent and passion while discovering how to deal with emotions every teenager has to go through." Anuhea excelled in the spotlight. She was the head anchor for the daily campus-wide news, hosted a variety of TV shows for OCI6, and acted in school musicals.
After attending film school in Orange County for a year, Anuhea realized music was more her calling. She returned to the islands and immediately got into the scene, performing at local coffee shops which turned into paid restaurant gigs. Anuhea's skills improved with every gig, and successes came steadily and deservedly. She took the initiative to market herself as a musician, and until this point has acted as her own manager, booking agent, and music producer and distributor. She took recordings from a live taping for a public radio station and turned them into her 22-track demo CD "Rough Cuts" which she sells "out of her trunk" and through her MySpace page to fans across the globe.
After years of graciously turning down offers from local labels, Anuhea decided to sign with indie music label OneHawaii Music LLC. Co-founded by former Atlantic Records rep, Warren Wyatt and her aunty Nalani of Na Leo Pilimehana, OneHawaii is poised to get Anuhea heard, with major distribution through Koch Entertainment. In 2009, she released her self-titled debut album.
The future is bright for this Maui songbird. Anuhea's determination, passion, optimism and raw talent are the foundations for the success that is to come. "I just feel lucky that I've found my dream and am able to pursue it... My main goal as a music-maker is to help people find theirs, whatever it may be."

tell a wonderies blows
can't tear the static kind of song
till you change that station no
I'm sitting waiting on the greem
then tryin to change my sin
let's hit the road ever morn
you know versily alone
Chorus:
MOVING
I'm moving on so gracefully
I said it can't be PreCet
myself first to truly see
I'm movin on, movin on yeah
things for the song but I'm movin on
and bigger and better things on lock
oh oh oh ohh
moving on
oh oh oh ohh
You can't say it's my fault
I can sense you
no more liars gonna apologize
them crying dying in the scene
then trying just to bring
the let's hit the road the.universally.
Chorus:
MOVING
I'm moving on so gracefully
I said it can't be PreCet
myself first to truly see
I'm movin on, movin on yeah
things for the song but I'm movin on
and bigger and better things on lock
oh oh oh ohh
moving on
oh oh oh ohh
I see what you're doing
I don't let him before
but hurting hating racing peaces so it's you and me no more
I'm moving on, moving on
yeah I'm moving up and I'm moving on
again thank you for your time and song
but baby i'll be moving
[chorus:]
The lyrics to Anuhea's song "Moving On" convey a message of empowerment and self-discovery in the aftermath of a failed relationship. The singer reflects on the coldness and dishonesty that characterized the relationship, and resolves to leave it behind and move forward with her life. She acknowledges the pain of separation, but also recognizes the potential for growth and new opportunities that lie ahead. The chorus repeats the phrase "moving on" as a mantra of sorts, affirming the singer's determination to prioritize her own needs and pursue happiness on her own terms.
The lyrics are delivered in a laid-back, almost conversational style that lends them a sense of authenticity and emotional depth. The use of metaphor and imagery, such as the references to changing stations and hitting the road, create a vivid sense of movement and progress. The instrumentation features acoustic guitar and ukulele, along with percussion and subtle electronic effects, to create a mellow, grooving sound that complements the soulful vocals.
