Debut single 'When The Night Is Cold' was released in 1988. This song was not to be on debut album 'Disco Extravaganza' released in 1990 (re-named 'Army of Lovers when released in USA & UK in 1991). This was followed by the album 'Massive Luxury Overdose' (1991). La Camilla left the band and released a single 'I Am Not In The Mood For Lovers'. The Group replaced La Camilla with Michaela De La Cour, they re-released 'Massive Luxury Overdose' with extra tracks & with De La Cour on the new album artwork.
In 1992 the band came a four piece when Dominika joined the group and they recorded 'Hasta Manana' for the Abba tribute album.
Albums 'The Gods of Earth and Heaven' (1993) and 'Glory, Glamour & Gold'(1994) followed. The group dis-banded at the end of 1995. They re-formed to release 'Les Greatest Hits' in 1996, De La Cour did not want to be in the group anymore so original member La Camilla was asked back and she returned to record 4 new songs with the group. Someone somewhere

A broken heart can mend
Still I can't defend
Hours that I spend
Crying over losing in
The battle of my heart
Always back to start
Mend my broken heart
One upon a time I know
A fairytale comes true
Why should I be satisfied with you
Someone somewhere
I believe one day I'll see
Someone somewhere
Take a special pride in me
Someone somewhere
That's the place for me to be
Someone somewhere
Some day's gonna set me free
Why go on pretending
I've yet something to protect
Love I should collect
Gain my self-respect
What makes you believe
You've got the right to hang around
I'll fight you to the ground
I'm still heaven bound
One upon a time I know
A fairytale comes true
Why should I be satisfied with you
Someone somewhere
I believe one day I'll see
Someone somewhere
Take a special pride in me
Someone somewhere
That's the place for me to be
Someone somewhere
Some day's gonna set me freeI believe in miracles
A broken heart can mend
Still I can't defend
Hours that I spend
Crying over losing in
The battle of my heart
Always back to start
Mend my broken heart
One upon a time I know
A fairytale comes true
Why should I be satisfied with you

The lyrics of Army of Lovers' "Someone Somewhere" express the idea of striving for the perfect partner - someone who truly sees and appreciates their worth. The singer declares their belief in miracles and the power to mend a broken heart. However, despite this hope, there is still pain and the inability to defend against the hurt of losing battles in matters of the heart. The singer recognizes the need to gain self-respect and collect love, but questions why they should settle for someone who doesn't truly value them. The song ends with a call for hope that someday they will find that special someone who sets them free and takes pride in who they are.
