She has sung Hindi, Assamese, Urdu, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, English, Russian, Czech, Nepali, Malay and Malayalam.
In 2006, Asha Bhosle stated that she had sung over 12,000 songs, a figure repeated by several other sources. The World Records Academy, an international organization which certifies world records, recognized her as the "Most Recorded Artist" in the world, in September 2009. The Government of India honoured her with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

1986मी नुकताच १०वी झालों होतों, लोकप्रभा मध्ये द्वारकानाथ संझगिरी यांनी क्रिकेटपटू दिलीप वेंगसरकर यांची मुलाखत घेतली होती, त्यामध्ये त्यांना विचारले होते आवडता सिनेमा तर त्यांनी सांगितले दादा कोंडके यांचे सर्व आणि आवडत गाण तर हेच जिवलगा राहिले दूर घर माझे तेव्हा पासून मी पण आवडीने ऐकतो आहे आणि गाणं शिकत असताना हेच खूप वेळा गात असे ,जय मराठी माती 🙏
