The song "Jyot Divyachi Mand Tevate" by Asha Bhosle is a devotional song that celebrates the glory of the divine light. The first verse of the song speaks of the majestic temple which is illuminated with the divine light in the presence of the lord. The next few lines paint a visual of Meera dancing for Lord Krishna and being completely enraptured by him. She is lost in his love and her heart resonates with the hue of Krishna, indicating complete surrender.
The second verse highlights the devotion and utter devotion of Meera towards Lord Krishna. She hears the sweet, melodious sound of the flute and becomes completely enchanted. Her mind becomes consumed with thoughts of him and she runs towards his love. Despite being made fun of by the rest of the world, Meera remains steadfast in her devotion towards her lord. The last verse talks about her vision of Lord Krishna, seeing the beauty of his form and being swayed by the soft voice of his words. The lyrics of the song thus paint a vivid picture of the devotion and loyalty of Meera towards her beloved Lord Krishna.
