Currently, the orchestra’s conducting team consists of Thierry Fischer (Principal Conductor, since September 2006), Jac van Steen (Principal Guest Conductor), Tadaaki Otaka (Conductor Laureate) and Grant Llewellyn (Associate Guest Conductor). Richard Hickox, following his final concert as Principal Conductor on July 23, 2006, was the orchestra's Conductor Emeritus until his death in November 2008.
As Orchestra-in-Residence at St David's Hall, Cardiff, Wales, the orchestra gives over 20 concerts each year in the Welsh capital, but also performs regularly throughout Wales and beyond, including international tours and annual appearances at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the BBC Proms. Broadcasting work includes studio sessions for BBC radio and television, although the orchestra’s concerts form the bulk of its broadcasts, transmitted primarily on BBC Radio 3 but also on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru and BBC television. The orchestra performs a wide repertoire including contemporary music, and the post of Composer in Association is held by Michael Berkeley.

Its really strange how the music has change since Russell T Davies era and Steven moffats era, I don't now which one is better but every time I hear this i feel lie I'm watching ten and rose all over again and it's amazing!

I think there's some kind of hiccup in the space time continuum, because I find myself stuck in an endless cycle of pure angst and pain anytime I think of Rose and Ten. Any time, any place, anywhere. HELP ME, IT HAS BEEN YEARS.

I love Rose's Theme. It's so beautiful and fits the character so well. Right now I'm rewatching Series 1 and 2 of Doctor Who, mostly because of her. I loved Rose because she was so brave, intelligent, had a sense o fun. She was real, someone like you and me, and her relationship with the Doctor (both Doctors) was amazing. It doesn't matter if you liked the romance or not, one thing was undeniable: the Doctor and Rose were the perfect duo and I miss them every single day.

And thanks for the video, btw. I'm always coming back to see/listen it over again

Haven't watched Doctor Who since David Tennant left, but this brings back some happy and sad memories of watching it when it was amazing and am close to tears listening to it!
