I think a part of me just knows that you're right
That you're right
But silent treatment gone too long
And I can't live with this the rest of my life
Of my life
Maybe we're rumours
Maybe one of a kind
Both can be ruthless when we're magnified
Can we be human somewhere down the line
Oh oh oh oh
All that we wanted is not what we need
Oh oh oh oh
All that we wanted is not what we see
'Cause even though I might be wrong
I think a part of me just knows that I tried
That I tried
I've had the feeling for too long
And I can't live with this the rest of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Of my life
Oh oh oh oh
All that we wanted is not what we need
Oh oh oh oh
All that we wanted is not what we see
'Cause I've been caught up in the science
Caught up in the science of it
Caught up in the science
Caught up in the science of it
Caught up in the science
Caught up in the science of it
Caught up in the science
Caught up in the science
Maybe we're rumours
Maybe one of a kind
Maybe we're clueless somewhere down the line
Both can be ruthless when we're magnified
Can we be human somewhere down the line
Can we be human
Can we be human
Can we be human
Can we be human
The lyrics to Boo Seeka's song "Humans" are about the struggles of a relationship and the desire to connect on a deeper level with another person. The song explores the idea that even though one might feel like they are right about the relationship, the truth may be otherwise. The singer admits that they might be wrong, but also knows that a part of them thinks that their partner is right.
However, the silent treatment has gone on for too long, and the singer cannot continue living like this. The song suggests that sometimes what we want in a relationship is not what we need, and that we can become so focused on the science or logic of the situation that we lose sight of the human connection. The lyrics ask if it is possible for the couple to find a way to be human with each other and connect emotionally.
The song touches on the idea that relationships can be complicated and messy, but ultimately, the human connection we share with another person is what makes it worth it. The chorus repeats the message that what we want is not always what we need, suggesting that the couple may need to let go of their preconceived notions and expectations in order to find a true emotional connection.
