@Ty Lesveque My condolences. I feel your pain there as well. I lost one of my best friends to a car accident too. His accident was his own fault though, he always did drive like a madman. It was raining that day and he flew off the highway and struck one of those concrete pillars that support the connection ramps at mix masters. He hit it at around 100 mph. He passed about 45 mins later at the hospital. I believe they care flighted him. The funeral was rough. He just had a kid too, which I'm sure he'd be in college about now. They had 3 pics of me & him in his coffin. Not 1 pic with him & his brother, or 1 with his family. Of course I don't recall them at our graduation either. Then they played dust in the wind......then came the waterworks. I still can't hear that song to this day. They probably both look down on us, writing about their deaths. Screaming don't worry about it. We're good. I do believe life is harder so people like you & me get the worse half of the deal. We're all connected though, even though it may feel this way, we're never truly alone. Hang in there, I know anniversarys can be rough. We just got to keep living, what else can we do

I Lived in Alaska for 19 years way before this show. It was so fake it was unreal. They lived in a lodge in the winter. I knew people who lived in the bush. They would laugh at these people. It was a show they got paid.

@Adam I do remember talk about it and I questioned how they could afford the boat and fuel and how they portrayed being broke and living like bums. I know they had to make money by filming the show so they had income. However, they still lived in the woods and on the land so to speak. Like all these tv shows we can't believe everything.

@poorman68 yeah, they definitely made money from the show while actually filming it, like you said, that's how they could afford ask their sh*t. I heard too that they packed up after filming at the location of their "house" and all went and stayed at a hotel with the film crew.

You know what i love. Is how everyone gets caught up on the shows fake its fake. Instead of actually being able to understand the show. It was about being together and working together as a family. Then again maybe thats why there is so much hate. Yall cant stand your family so your toxicity spews on to those trying to shed positivity. The show had its ups and downs but none of that mattered as they had eachother. Thats what mattered. Family.

they all really can't stand each other--it took a lot of time of the filming crew to calm these brown s down to film --the show was fake fake fake--most of them always wanted to bail,quit the show,fighting with each other was common but not shown to us
