For as long as he can remember, music has been a part of Billy's life. Growing up in a musical family meant that music was never far away
As an eight-year-old Billy would sit alongside his father singing Bill Bailey, Baby Face and old Hank Williams songs at parties. Billy learnt to play the guitar through books and under the tuition of his brother Steve.
He began performing in bands at the age of 14 and has been playing in bands or as a solo artist and writing songs ever since.

The lyrics to Billy Bridge's song Le grand M are quite simple and straightforward, as they are instructions on how to dance the Madison. The song starts with the repetition of the letters that make up the name of the dance, M A D I S O N, followed by the instruction to listen carefully because the song will teach you how to do the dance.
The song describes the movements needed to perform the Madison, starting with standing with your feet together and making a big M by moving to the left and then backwards. The lyrics then encourage the listener to keep going and dance the Madison. The chorus repeats the name of the dance, Le grand M and M A D I S O N, reminding the listener of what they're doing.
