Even all you misfits
I was lost on the way
But no one ever missed me
Cutting off edges
You will see by the morning
But anyway, anyway
You pass it to me
I pass it to you
We pass it to everyone we know
But anyway we're coming through
Sugar came and kicked butt
Stopped the way you treat me
But now the blame is stolen
Just look away, look away
You pass it to me
I pass it to you
We pass it to everyone we know
But anyway we're coming through
It's all that we need
It's all that we force
It's all in the greed when I hear you call
By the way I'm out of control
It's all that we need
It's all that we force
It's all the greed when I hear you call
By the way i'm out of control
By the way i'm out of control
You pass it to me
I pass it to you
We pass it to everyone we know
But anyway we're coming through
It's all that we need
It's all that we force
It's all in the greed when I hear you call
By the way I'm out of control
It's all that we need
It's all that we force
It's all in the greed when I hear you call
By the way I'm out of control
Out of control
Out of control
Out of control
The song "Moonpigs" by Blackmail has an interesting and somewhat cryptic set of lyrics. The first few lines suggest that everyone is welcome, even the misfits. The singer mentions being lost on the way, but no one ever missed him, which could imply a sense of feeling unimportant or neglected. The next few lines talk about cutting off edges and giving a tactical warning, which could be interpreted in different ways. It could be a reference to something physical like pruning trees, or it could be more metaphorical like cutting off pieces of oneself to fit in or be accepted. The chorus repeats the line "You pass it to me, I pass it to you, we pass it to everyone we know", which could be a literal passing of something, or it could represent sharing ideas, experiences, or emotions.
The second verse has some slightly more concrete imagery with the mention of sugar coming and kicking butt, stopping the way the singer was being treated. It's unclear who or what sugar represents, but it could be interpreted as a metaphor for love, strength, confidence, or support. The line "now the blame is stolen, just look away, look away" could mean that the singer is not willing to take responsibility for something, or it could be directed at someone else who is trying to blame the singer for something. The chorus repeats once again, with the lines "It's all that we need, it's all that we force, it's all in the greed when I hear you call, by the way I'm out of control" repeated twice. This could be interpreted as a commentary on the human condition, with everyone needing things and sometimes resorting to force or greed to get what they want. The final repetition of "out of control" could imply a loss of restraint or conscious decision-making.
