They were on the BBC's Sound Of new music list for 2016 where they finished in fourth place. It was commented by the band and several other people that they were one of only two guitar bands on the list, alongside Rat Boy. Blossoms' self-titled debut album was one of the twelve albums nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2017.

I've played in a trio and been the builder for most of my 6k hours and now I play solo, and while I've always made my own bases, building those trio+ bases doesn't involve nearly as much deployable and mobility efficiency. Your ability to come up with livable bases that include widegaps and shells on smaller footprints rather than 2x2 or circle is impressive, because I have no clue how to make these solo footprints work. Your bases are really sick. They are insanely efficient for cost.

Side note: for anyone reading this, it's much easier to progress if you make a 2x1 near your build spot and live out of that until you have the shell and shit done.

Built this on the last wipe I played with my brother then later my friend joined with us. Love the base design, it looks really cool and the widegaps / gatehouses are perfect. It makes setting up the compound walls so much easier.

It was way too small for a duo / trio though. So I went into a sandbox server and made a larger version of this with a triangle core that's 1 layer wider. It has the same shell layout, but just extended 1 extra square out. I might make a video of it soon, probably just a walkthrough and not a whole build video like this though.

Love the base and the videos, I feel like I'm watching a legit commercial every time I watch you do a base intro and tour! Sometimes when I build it on a build server and I am placing the external TCs, when I go to place the TC it says it's too close to my main one and forces me to go an extra triangle out. Any idea what I could be doing to cause this? I thought it might be uneven terrain at first but then it happened again when I was building on flat ground.

@14:10 After passing for several base defenses, I sugest that whoever builds this design to only use stone in inner peaks, I've had the outer peak's triangle platforms colapsed from no stability 3 times as the first and second floor walls of my shell get rocketed and my inner peak triangle platforms survived with half health sheet metal, I had to finish up breaking them so I could rebuild the outter peak triangle platforms everytime, thankfully I had the gifted jackhammers and that helped me break them faster than with metal picks

I had the same experience. Super cool base once I got it built, but I felt a bit cramped and I did not like knowing that it was two rockets to all my loot in the boxes on the ground outside the core. You need to gather and store a lot of building materials in the come-up, and I'm not good enough at the game that I'll have three armored doors on the first day of wipe, so two rockets would've gotten anyone the vast majority of my loot. I considered using a garage door / single door combo to solve the insecurity issue but another possibility was third floor.

Built it and its not a bad base but one of the biggest problems are the storage. U run out of storage very very quickly since it only has 1 place that u could call storage room. Also the gatehouses could have better vision.

I really want to bring something new and good if im gonna post anything, but even tho i have a miniares build finished and used multiple times i dont feel like it fits into the current meta due to it being already somewhat outdated, so i refrain from releasing it. The only problem I have is to find a spot to build this thing. Groups may have the luxury to build wherever they want on wipeday but the footprint is quite large for flat space, you have to be either incredibly lucky with world gen and nobody building there or have to use flat waterbeds or ice lakes, both relatively sub par as the cold is just meh and in the flatbeds you can't place deployables on the inside.

I very rarely say this, but holy shit this is an awesome base. I love it. Only thing I don’t like is that you have to be a chad or no life to afford this as a solo and I am definitely no chad (I’m not a potato either) nor do I have the time to no life rust. It sucks to suck.

Edit: I have heavily modified this base to be significantly more cost efficient. So much so that it's actually viable for the average solo player. Fully build with all deployables it costs 16.75k metal, 458HQM, and 13.5k stone. Upkeep is 2.5k metal, 2k stone, 50HQM. Perfectly reasonable and pretty much the high end of what I consider very manageable for your average solo. I got rid of externals and the compound to reduce costs. Using horizontal pixel gaps to hide tc and also some changes on the shooting floor has made it slightly stronger to counteract no externals. I mean you can still put at least one external if you'd like and you frankly should be doing that with every base you build since it's the most cost efficient way to increase raid cost. Now with electric furnaces, I don't see the point of having a compound as a solo since 3 electric furnaces = 1 large furnace. Plus with the industrial upgrade you can smelt your sulfur and metal while afk. I have also modified the shooting floor to be smaller, while still providing ample visibility for raid protection , heli taking, or roofcamping (even though I don't roofcamp). I have also figured out a way to increase loot space by about 50% if I'm guessing. Thank you for the footprint! This might just become my first main that has peakdowns.

I build this yesterday on builders sanctuary and I’m even more impressed. It’s a beautiful base too. I found that you can put 3 more autoturrets that protect the shooting floor from every angle (by the sheet metal doors leading to the wide gaps). The turrets in the compound have blind spots. A good rat can jump in and out without dying to them. You can actually put 3 more autoturrets by placing a triangle floor between the single door entrance and window frame. That covers a lot of ground and can prevent people from jumping in the first place. I say this as someone what has never had a single autoturret set up in his 2700hrs lmao. You will need some solar panels though for the extra juice required.

Just built this. I built in an icy water area so the lower floor is unusable for deployables but will raise some hell for raiders. While they freeze, Ill be upstairs with my heaters 😛

Also, turned the externals into 3 small flank towers with gate houses and was able to double wall it and add a few turrets to each gate. Absolutely love this design and will be playing with it more.

Ok so i built it as a solo on official and its fuckin great, but the main pain in the ass for me was not beeing able to rebuild innerpeeks after raid/heli(ye it always destroy half of my baseXD)and then there is not eough stability for outer peaks/wide gaps/roof waching gaps. but still great base i had a lot of fun in it.

The only problem I have with combat compounds is there griefable, the furnaces give jump outs, and hiding spots

The compound is virtually impossible to build into once the autoturrets are up, and the furnaces aren't actually tall enough to provide a jump-out unless twig buildup is used on both ends which isn't possible either when turrets are up; turrets are life

Can i ask how big the total design is? Im building in a limited space in my server and would love to know how big this is so i can try to see if it will fit before building it

used thise the entire wipe untill despawn of loot, found it at bit small, so next wipe im going 1 wall higher and doing different roof, could not fit samsite + 2 wind turbine
