According to his website, Rosenfeld's dream is to work for a company that doesn't outsource music and sound. Rosenfeld cites his brother as a major, "unnoticed," influence in his musical career. Rosenfeld's brother initially introduced him to Ableton, his first music production software, which he used to create "mash-ups of two songs." Rosenfeld continued to produce music as a "productive hobby" gradually improving and got involved in the indie game community. Spending time in TIGSource's IRC channel, Rosenfeld started to learn of the "infinitely complicated art of game design", and through the same channel met Markus "Notch" Persson who was only just started the idea process of 'Minecraft.' Rosenfeld's magnum opus "Minecraft", in which he was responsible for the music and sound effects in-game; greatly popularised his other work due to the attention Minecraft - Volume Alpha and Minecraft - Volume Beta received.

This reminds me of years back when I played minecraft. I'd always leave it running on the menu when I wasn't using, so I could still listen to the music. I had a loft bed, so my desk was under my bed, with my computer. So I'd go to bed every night listening to the menu music. But this was the only one that stuck out to me. This is one of the only songs that I've found that truly reflects upon the games true majesty. Other songs like the original minecraft (song) and haggstrom bring out and complement its simple beauty, and others like mice on venus shows its darkness and sadness, but this song truly completes this game with tunes to match its majestic scenery and really feels like it symbolizes just how large the world around you is. 1:05 Makes me think of a simpler time when I was younger, where I'd stay up late until like 5AM with friends to make progress on something in Minecraft. It reminds me that time is, in fact, a thing. I remember those times fondly, as my online friends and I have grown apart after so long, and although we're all doing good and still talk here or there, it makes me slightly sad, yet happy that we were once all together, playing in Minecraft as if we were all next door neighbors. It reminds me that Minecraft, and video games in general, hold memories so God damn well, and I'll always cherish my time on this wonderful, innocent game. Back when this piece was first introduced to the game, I felt disappointed whenever I heard it because I thought it was meant to replace the original Minecraft title track from Volume Alpha (and little did I know that it could still be heard while playing in Survival Mode because I basically only played in Creative Mode) so I could not appreciate it so much at the time. But now, there is just overwhelming nostalgia associated with it, and I appreciate it so much. It’s even better than the title track in my opinion.

This brings back memories to the PS3 days, finite worlds, creative only, just building without care, nothing could be better. You built giant castles, you built houses for your friends.
I played with another kid called Koby, I made him a giant mansion, but some water leaked in. I wonder where all my friends are now.

My Grandmother who just recently passed away was a huge part of my life growing up. I liked gaming at an early age and every chance I got, I would include her in gaming with me. The day of the rosary, before they cremated her, as we were leaving the funeral home I put my ear buds in and hit play. This song started playing because I had downloaded the whole album years prior because I like how the songs sounded. I took this song playing as her goodbye. All the years of gaming and growing up in one song. 😔

God... This brings back memories.
I played Minecraft so much, and still do, it was an outlet from school where I could build whatever I wanted or do whatever I felt was fun. No judgment from others, just a space for me. I've made countless friends through Minecraft and every time I look through my old Xbox 360 worlds memories start flowing through my head.

I'm so glad I live in a time that Minecraft was invented. It saved my life, gave me purpose, and helped me through a lot. Cheers to the good memories and more to come!

As minecraft is once again growing, imagine all the nostalgia in like a decade for now, all the good memories since you were kid, all you wanted was to play minecraft, the minecraft soundtrack is very memorable and remarkable, it brings back memories with it, and if minecraft doesn't die till then, imagine your kids playing it, or just asking about the game, like "what did you like about a game with basic mechanics and made of blocks?" and then you start to remember all the memories, friends, buildings you made, but now it's all gone, just memories

i remembering playing minecraft when i was around 9 or 10, and this soundtrack was always my favorite.
To this day, 5 or 6 years later, It remains my favorite.

I love listening to the soundtracks at nighttime in real life, especially the nether ones at 3 am, I bought both the alpha album and beta album off iTunes, and now I always listen to it at night time, because for some reason it sounds more beautiful and nostalgic at night

When i was young these bgm reminds me of twilight sky happens same in minecraft and real life that im awake for first time through whole night without knowing and it gives me pure extraordinary peaceful and soothing feelings.

THIS was my favorite morning alarm song until I was depressed as shit. There was nothing more beautiful than a gentle wake up, with this tune playing, the sun beams shining into my room because the window is on the eastern side.. Just a joy to be alive. Good times really, and I didn't appreciate it.. If I only knew..

this music brings me back to the memories of coming to my friends house to play minecraft, i remember this music playing each time in the menu, i think its 1 of the most nostalgic sounding soundtracks because of the reason similiar to mine
