In 2005, Camille released Le fil. This is a concept album, built on one note (a B) that starts at the beginning of the album and stops at its end. All the songs of the album are constructed on the voice of Camille with only one instrument (double-bass, and sometimes a keyboard).
Camille's third studio album Music Hole, released in March 2008, shows a key turn in her career: it is mostly sung in English.

Là où tu te noies tu as beau avoir pied tu coules
Tu as perdu sa piste
Camille's song "Au port" is a poetic and metaphorical tale about a young girl who sets sail for unknown lands with a love interest. The song starts with the lines "Hey! Little girl you drink water and get drunk/ There, where you can stand, you drown." This line refers to the girl's naivety and inexperience which makes her vulnerable when it comes to going into unknown waters. The refrain "Au port" which means "at the port" serves as a reminder that the girl's journey is not going anywhere, and she is stuck at the port.
In the verses that follow, the singer continues to call out the girl's lack of preparedness, stating that she needed the strength and capability to make the journey. However, her love interest, who is seen as different from the girl, was born ready to conquer unknown lands. It's as if she is warning the girl that you need to have the necessary strength, knowledge, and willpower to embark on a meaningful journey.
As the song reaches its end, the singer changes their tone and calls out the girl's lack of ambition, telling her to rise and come out of her shell to accomplish what she can. The final statement, "Ton cœur de petite fille est mort," which translates to, "Your little girl's heart is dead," conveys a sense of sadness and regret. The singer's warning and advice come too late; the girl has already lost her childlike sense of wonder and curiosity.
