In 2005, Camille released Le fil. This is a concept album, built on one note (a B) that starts at the beginning of the album and stops at its end. All the songs of the album are constructed on the voice of Camille with only one instrument (double-bass, and sometimes a keyboard).
Camille's third studio album Music Hole, released in March 2008, shows a key turn in her career: it is mostly sung in English.

Waves
Camille Lyrics

Finistère rêvé le matin à l’est
Île de Ré quatre à six
Pique-nique souriant ouest
Show me the waves
Slaves of the sea
Is there a swirl
An oyster pearl
Inside of me?
Show me the waves
Y and X ray
Right through my bones
Is there a home
Where you can stay?
Show me the waves
Waves all around
Ovens and cells
Wi-fi’s and wells
Wires unbound
Love is a wave
Swimming are we?
Is there a swirl
An oyster pearl
Inside of me?
See all these waves
No one can see
Life is a circle
Shell of a turtle
Now set it free
Wave!
Wave!
Love is a wave
Swimming are we?
Is there a swirl
An oyster pearl
Inside of me?
See all these waves
No one can see
Life is a circle
Shell of a turtle
Now set it free
Wave!
Wave!
Love is a wave
Swimming are we?
Is there a swirl
An oyster pearl
Inside of me?
See all these waves
No one can see
Life is a circle
Shell of a turtle
Now set it free
Wave!
Wave!
Wave it goodbye!
The lyrics of Camille's song Waves tell a story of a day filled with sensory experiences for a group of people, each identified by name, in different locations in France. The references to specific places and people give us a glimpse into a day in the life of these individuals. The song is unique in describing a day in such a way and creating a sense of community through the shared experience of living in close proximity to one another.
The lyrics also reference the natural elements, such as the wind, rain, and waves, which bring to mind the cyclical and ever-changing nature of life. It acknowledges the ways in which these elements can be both destructive and healing, and compares them to love, which is also represented as a wave. The repetition of the word "wave" in the chorus encourages us to let go of our fears and worries and ride the waves of life.
Overall, "Waves" is a poetic expression of the ebb and flow of life, the importance of community, and the power of love to help us weather the storms that come our way.

Moi qui danse rarement et qui chante souvent, quand j'écoute Camille et sa bande, mon corps se lâche. Je chante à corps perdu, et je danse à tue-tête.
