Candlebox was known for an explosive live show and throughout their 8 year career, they toured with such bands as Living Colour, The Flaming Lips, Our Lady Peace, Rush, Henry Rollins, and Metallica. They were also a featured band on the main-stage at Woodstock '94 and made repeat live performances on the David Letterman show.
They are best known for the singles "Change", "You", "Far Behind" and "Simple Lessons". "Far Behind" entered Billboard's Top 20 in July of 1993 and didn't drop off the charts until January of 1994. The videos for "Far Behind" and "You" were in seemingly perpetual rotation on MTV and became two of the most requested videos of 1993.
Drummer Scott Mercado left the band in 1997 and was replaced by former Pearl Jam member Dave Krusen. Krusen later left the band in 1999 and was replaced by Shannon Larkin of Ugly Kid Joe. Bardi Martin also left the band that year, and was replaced by Rob Reddick (formerly of Dig). The band split in year 2000.
As of 2005, singer Kevin Martin is currently recording and performing as the leader of The Hiwatts. Peter Klett is currently recording and performing as the leader of redlightmusic.
In 2006, Candlebox has reunited with their original line-up. They went on a three-month North American tour beginning on July 1st of the same year. This marks their first collaboration since 1996.
In 2008, Candlebox released their fourth studio album called "Into the sun". This meant their return since 1998's Happy Pills. Also, they released a Live album called "Alive in Seattle" which includes tracks from all their past albums.
In 2009, Kevin Martin (along with Sean Hennesy, Candlebox's guitarist) helped form the super-group The Gracious Few with three of the members of the band LIVE. Functioning as lead singer, the band went on to release a self-titled album which accompanied an extensive tour. Though LIVE has reformed with a new lead singer, more material from The Gracious Few is said to be released in the future

you ..in the long head ..
its want to see you through these days
I just want you to know
only areas a get lost
we seat and wait through ..
I can't remember to forget you
I watch you disappear
I will always try to remember
what you said
and I will always holding to to be like..
things are said and done like done
though my heart so bearing
come home to me now
I dreamed of you last night
we city in the sayin
and though she rushing in
we set the holing hands
The water ..self around
warm rising over here
the grace for sunset swimming
swelling through our heads
No my eyes are so sad
I will always try to remember
what you said
and I will always holding
to to be like..
things are said and done like done
Though my heart so bearing
come home to me now
For hours after you ignore
my head..happen them
it's hard to say goodbye
so hard to ignore
you were grace when you was..
you ..when I ignore
The sun we knew the darkest
to the brightest
keep you in my heart to..
and though my eyes are so sad
and though my eyes are so said
come home to me now
I watch you fade away
your strength long at cause
The lyrics to Candlebox's song "Come Home" are complex and mysterious, leaving room for various interpretations. One of the main themes seems to be the yearning for someone who has faded away, both literally and metaphorically. The singer seems to be trying to hold on to the memory of this person while struggling with the pain of their absence. The first verse, "I should fade away, you in the long head, it's want to see you through these days" suggests that the singer feels forgotten or discarded, but they still want to be noticed by the person they are addressing. The lines "I can't remember to forget you/I watch you disappear/No my eyes are so sad" indicate a sense of loss and melancholy that pervades the song.
The second verse shifts to a dreamlike scene between the two people, where the sea and the sunset suggest an idyllic, intimate moment. Yet there is still a sense of distance, as the singer says "we set the holing hands" instead of "holding hands" which could imply a sense of imbalance, that they are not holding each other equally. The chorus repeats the lines "Though my heart so bearing, come home to me now" suggesting a plea to the absent person to return and heal the singer's pain. The final lines "I watch you fade away, your strength long at cause" suggests that the person the singer is addressing is a strong, perhaps even heroic figure who has left them broken-hearted.
