Oh, whoa
When it's both of us, want your body up on mine
I wanna hold you up (up), closer every night
'Cause you're one of a kind, I ain't gon' lie 'bout you, baby
Let's do a little dance and cut a rug up, I know you got moves, yeah, yeah
About you, shawty (just a little)
You know I been vibing (for a little)
You got me
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin' (stutterin'), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin' (stutterin'), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin' (ooh, yeah, stutterin')
Losing all control when you get close, yeah
Stutterin' (ooh, yeah), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings (yeah)
Trippin' on my words all night
And you know that's a first for me
Can't take it like you take my soul
'Cause you got me outta body
Apply the pressure, baby, don't you let up (ooh)
You should win a medal (medal)
Got me trippin' 'cause you really fuck my head up
'Cause I been fantasizing (on you)
About you, shawty (just a little)
You know I been vibing (for a little)
You got me
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin' (stutterin'), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin' (stutterin'), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin' (ooh, yeah, stutterin')
Losing all control when you get close, yeah
Stutterin' (ooh, yeah), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings (yeah)
All of the signs that lead to you
I'm doing things I never do now
You turned a heart I thought was
Made for one into two, yeah
And now I'm tired of the games, yeah
And I'm hoping you feel the same
You got me
Stutterin' (stutterin', yeah), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings
Stutterin', stutter-stutter (stutterin')
You got me in my feelings (no, whoa)
Stutterin' (ooh, yeah)
Losing all control when you get close, yeah
Stutterin' (ooh, yeah), stutter-stutter
You got me in my feelings
Stu-stu-stutterin'
In Chris Brown's song "Stutter," the lyrics portray a narrator who is deeply infatuated with someone. The singer is captivated by the other person's uniqueness and finds themselves fantasizing about them. The song expresses the overwhelming feelings and lack of control experienced when in the presence of this individual.
The chorus, "You got me in my feelings, stutterin', stutter-stutter," signifies the impact this person has on the singer. The repetition of the word "stutterin'" emphasizes the singer's speechlessness and inability to articulate their emotions. The line, "Trippin' on my words all night, and you know that's a first for me," suggests that the singer is usually confident and composed, but this person has completely thrown them off balance.
The lyrics also imply a sense of vulnerability in the singer's emotions. They mention feeling like they are losing control and being out of body when this person is around. The line, "You turned a heart I thought was made for one into two," suggests that this person has opened the singer's heart to new possibilities and emotions.
Overall, "Stutter" portrays a longing and intense desire for someone who has a profound effect on the singer. The lyrics capture the singer's struggle to express their overwhelming feelings and the impact this person has on their sense of self.
