In 1999, Tomlin rose to recognition joined on board as a worship leader for Atlanta pastor Louie Giglio’s annual Passion Conferences, along with other worship leaders such as Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, and eventually with Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, and the David Crowder Band (now Crowder). Tomlin was soon signed to Sparrow Records and EMI's sixstepsrecords where he began releasing his worship albums.

In 2008, after five solo album releases, and nine with Passion, Tomlin made the move from Texas to Atlanta to be a worship leader for Giglio’s new church, Passion City Church, with its first service being held in February of 2009. Tomlin has since released four solo worship albums, two Christmas albums, and one live album.

In 2013, Tomlin’s seventh album Burning Light debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, becoming only the fourth album by a Christian artist to top that chart, along with Butterfly Kisses (Shades of Grace) by Bob Carlisle, You Light Up My Life by LeeAnn Rimes, both in 1997, and TobyMac's Eye On It in 2012.

Tomlin has recorded some of the most famous songs ever in Christian music, such as How Great Is Our God, Holy Is The Lord, Our God, and Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)

Right now I dont know were I am with God, I am praying that He will show me were I'm at and to truly save me. Please read the first two chapters of the LETTER of JOHN (contains 5 chapters total) towards the very back of your Bible, or onlne look up "1 John 1" for the first chapter and "1 John 2" for the second chapter. (I'm not referring to the Gospel of John here, although that is great reading also, such as John 10:27-29.) The Apostle John basically states in his letter to the churches that if you harbor hatred in your heart and indulge in a life of sin then you are not born from above. He also states that we WILL still sin but can find forgiveness through Jesus' sacrifice. Our fleshly bodies are weak but God empowers us His Holy Spirit to overcome sin. The difference is in the motives and intentions of the heart. "Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7).

On a recent journey along Highway 16, scenes of stunning wilderness were flecked by indigenous communities reeling from economic decay and the anguished memories of missing and murdered women.

So you agree we live in a young earth and that God does exist.. .now that's a good start! In regards to the evidence that obviously abounds regarding this great God, let's bring YOU into the equation. Are you aware that death stares you right in the face and declares your days are numbered. You shouldn' ignore it and I admit it's a rather cold decision. What are you going to do about it?
