"Stay with Me Tonight" by DBSK is a song about holding onto love with all one's strength. The lyrics describe a relationship that is close but yet distant, as the singer struggles to convey their true feelings to their loved one. The opening lines of “Hello, Welcome to my world/Woo We're TVXQ/let me just hold you tonight” set the stage for a passionate plea to stay together. The melody is upbeat and playful, which contrasts the seriousness of the message in the lyrics.
The first verse talks about a blue notebook where the two used to write together, wondering what happened to it and the memories they shared. The singer is frustrated that their feelings are always twisted and turn into lies over time. The chorus is a plea for their loved one to stay with them, just as friends, so that they don't hurt their heart. They want to be the support their loved one needs to share their burdens without being afraid.
The second verse sees the singer trying to keep up with their loved one's expectations. They have everything they wanted but still need to break out of their shell to say what they mean correctly. There is always something holding them back, but they want to take the leap to open their hearts to the possibility of a relationship. TVXQ is a romance-advising duo that takes the stage by storm and delivers a fun, dance-worthy rhythm with a message that hits the heart.
