Savage is best known for penning the internationally syndicated relationship and sex advice column "Savage Love". Savage uses the column as a forum for his strong opinions that often flout "conservative family values"; he often encourages advice-seekers to pursue their fetishes. The tone of the column is frank in its discussion of sexuality, often humorous, and Savage does not shy away from using profanity. He is strongly opposed to both bestiality and incest. Though Savage encourages sexual experimentation, he does not encourage carelessness. He frequently makes use of his position - that of a columnist with a large and loyal audience - to spread AIDS awareness and to promote safe sex.
In 1991, Savage was living in Madison, Wisconsin, and working as a manager at a local video store that specialized in independent film titles. There, Savage befriended Tim Keck, co-founder of The Onion, who announced that he was moving to Seattleto help start an alternative weekly newspaper titled The Stranger. Savage "made the offhand comment that forever altered [his] life: 'Make sure your paper has an advice column—everybody claims to hate 'em, but everybody seems to read 'em'." Savage typed up a sample column, and to Savage's surprise Keck offered him the job.

Raven: I really didn't like Raven from the start when she talked about her sugar dating past up until the end when she seriously was expecting SK to help pay for her rent while he lived in another city as a student. The most horrible person on the show in my opinion.
SK: Good for him keeping his mouth shut and playing the nice guy card just long enough to get it wet. 100% he was just a status symbol or fashion accessory to Raven and not a person that she loved. If she is even capable of love with her past, and I like to think he was smart enough to see this from the very start.
Cole: Immature because of his age, but had the most potential to become a good future spouse. Came from a good home, intelligent, charismatic, and emotionally available. Made the show entertaining with edgy behavior, and never really took things too far in my opinion.
Zanab: Emotional damage. Starting with the death of her parents and snowballing from there she is single because being alone is the only way of life she's known from a young age. It's truly sad how she has lost the opportunity to perhaps have had a happy family in her youth to loneliness and bitterness.
Nancy: Nice girl, but again too old to be falling in love and starting a family. Not a complete doormat just desperate and letting the hot guy get away with unacceptable behavior because he's hot. Also, if she was so financially successful and independently wealthy I'd wager she wouldn't co-own a property with her ex. She said she has no debt, but then later talks about mortgages. Shady or just ignorant. Many red flags.
Bartise: Immature because of his age and an f boy. His personality won't get a chance to truly develop until he looses his looks. Should probably be dating 20 year olds not 30 year olds.
Colleen: Not that good looking. Seemed like she really just wanted to be on TV and was kind of a cringe actress.
Matt: Not emotionally stable. Flip flopped on wanting to be with Colleen. That should have been enough for both of them to walk away.
Alexa: Fat. Really wasn't into Brennon from the start. Didn't seem overly happy on her wedding day either. Perhaps just an overly indifferent person.
Brennon: He could do better. As a guy I don't know how he's physically attracted to Alexa. Even if you paid me to make the TV show I wouldn't. I couldn't. Much less tie the knot with her!

It’s more than 18 years, it’s a lifetime. Co parenting is so important. I wish my ex husband are still alive, not to get back together, but we had become friends again after a few years. He missed our first grandson, & there’s another one on the way . Our daughter would most likely have better mental health if he were still here - or they could discuss their situations with each other, which could be helpful. Idk .
@rebeccad2854
Haven’t ever watched that show, but I still enjoy listening. I guess now I don’t have to ? Lol ! I was picturing the couples as y’all were talking about them & their different situations.
@Owlyuhu
Same I don’t watch it it’s just fun to hear them talk about it 😂
@brittanydowie5016
You guys are so funny 😂 I look forward to every episode!
I genuinely agree with your opinions on every couple.
@TheSaVegPodcast
Aww thank you 🙏🏻

Speaking of unrealistic body image - Idk if you'll cover this in this episode or a future one, but apparently there's a shortage of a diabetes drug because some social media influencers are popularizing taking it to lose weight. Like people with diabetes in the US, who can already barely afford their life-sustaining drugs, don't have enough to worry about.
@missiris1234
We need Love is Blind commentary. Thanks

"Liver King's" Ancestral Tenets (which he calls tenants 😆) is a joke. A combination of well-duh recommendations (sleep well, eat well, work out) and woowoo pseudoscience BS (e.g. grounding).
@CheapLazyVegan
LOLLLL right?! I was like why is this so revolutionary?? i saw them and i'm like okay so sleep, socialize, etc... uhmm literally we all know this 😅
@kendralehmann3018
