The lyrics to Dariush's "Rahgozare Omr" contemplate the journey of life and how it is full of uncertainty. The first two lines convey that life is a journey with light and dark moments, and nobody knows whether the path will lead to a distant or nearby destination. The next set of lines question the existence and purpose of this journey, wondering why humans are not aware of the story behind it. The repetition of "Kas Nemidanad" (no one knows) emphasizes the ambiguity of the path ahead and whether somebody will live or die.
The lyricist juxtaposes the concept of love and emptiness within the heart. While love and affection are essential to human nature, the question arises as to where these emotions fit in the journey of life. The next set of lines narrate how love was once a slave to human beings, and it could only be achieved by a path steeped in kindness and trust. The phrase "Jaz Rah-e Mehr o Vafa" (Except for the path of affection and devotion) suggests that love is only attainable through a path full of love and loyalty.
Overall, "Rahgozare Omr" contemplates on the uncertainties of life by questioning the purpose of existence and pondering upon the essence of human nature. The song encourages listeners to reflect upon their own journey of life and wonder where their paths may lead.
