After the first part of the tour, keyboardist Roberto Peña left the band and they were forced to finish the tour with a guest musician.
In August 2003 Dark Moor recorded four new exclusive acoustic tracks along with a string quartet, to be included in Between Light and Darkness, which was released in April 2003. Due to differing points of view regarding the musical direction for the next Dark Moor album, vocalist Elisa Martin, guitarist Albert Maroto and drummer Jorge Sáez decided to leave Dark Moor to start a new band.
The two remaining members of the band decided to start a search for new members. After the auditions, they accepted vocalist Alfred Romero, guitarist Jose Garrido, and drummer Andy C.

On 21 July 2018, Enrik Garcia, guitarist and founder of the band, announced via Facebook that their next album would be called Origins and that, after the parenthesis they did with ufology themes on Project X, they would return to their habitual themes; Origins will be about the celtic world, also adding celtic instruments on their new songs. This album has been released on 12 December 2018.
Tilt At Windmills
Dark Moor Lyrics

in a territory
whose name I don't recall;
you fight for rightness,
for honour's brightness
as you were mad at all.
Tilt at windmills,
Tilt at windmills,
enter with them in brawl.
You must protect
the flame which burns in your chest.
You can elect
the purest cause from the rest.
You must defend
innocence which never kneels.
You can amend
this sane world with your ideals.
Tilt at windmills, come on!
Never fall back, go on!
Tilt at windmills, come on!
Never fall back, always on!
Fighting the evil
in a medieval
world created by your mind;
a knight who is guiding
the men who are hiding
that they, as well, are blind.
You must defend
innocence which never kneels.
You can amend
this sane world with your ideals.
Tilt at windmills, come on!
Never fall back, go on!
Tilt at windmills, come on!
Never fall back, always on!
The lyrics in Dark Moor's "Tilt At Windmills" depict a knight on a quest for glory and righteousness, fighting against evil in a medieval world. The knight is guided by a flame burning in his chest, and he is driven to protect innocence that never kneels. The phrase "tilt at windmills" refers to battling imagined enemies, and the knight fights with such fervor that it seems as though he is fighting enemies that do not exist.
The song celebrates the power of ideals and the courage to fight for them, even when they may not be popular or even understood by others. The knight is driven by a sense of purpose and determination to make the world a better place through his ideals. The song encourages listeners to be like the knight and fight for what they believe in, even in the face of adversity.
