With this formation, they recorded a very political 6-track EP in the local music school of Posada de Llanera, called "Agujero Social". They took to the road and supported known classics as Barón Rojo, Brecha, Transfer, Desorden, Aprieta'l kulo, etc. With the addition of Nano (Drums) and Dani (Bagpipe and Sound Technician), they recorded their second 6-track EP, "Gritando en Silencio" in La Factoria studios in Aviles. This work gave them recognition around the Asturias punk scene and beyond.
Libertad
Desakato Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Con acidez de alma.
Amargura y saciedad
Pero dulce esperanza.
La paz no reinará en el mundo
Mas tenemos la esperanza
De que los jefes de mierda
Millones de cuerpos tendidos
En el suelo víctimas de la soledad,
Pero no se puede hacer juicio
Contra los que juzgan la verdad.
Miles de personas muriendo,
Agonizando y pidiendo por su libertad.
Esclavos de guerras absurdas
Que ésta noche vuelven a jugar...
Niños que empuñan armas
Y que no saben quienes son.
Terror y sabor a derrota,
Pobreza y perdición.
A los jefes nada les importa
Más que salvar su reputación.
Es más importante tu patria
Que sentir compasión.
The lyrics to Desakato's song Libertad paint a picture of a world plagued with loneliness, bitterness, and hopelessness. The singer expresses a sense of emptiness, accompanied by a bitterness that pervades their soul, contrasted with a sweet hope that persists. The overall theme of the song is the lack of peace in the world, as millions of people are dying needlessly, while the governing leaders continue fighting for power and reputation. The lyrics also speak to the plight of children who get involved in wars, as they fight for a cause they may not even understand, leading to terror and desperation. The song sheds light on the harsh realities of life, including poverty, slavery, and hopelessness, all of which are fueled by the greed and indifference of those in power.
