1. Dionysos is a French rock band formed in 1993 in Valence, Drôme. The band consists of five members known as Élisabeth Maistre a.k.a Babet, Guillaume Garidel a.k.a Guillermo, Mathias Malzieu, Michaël Ponton a.k.a Miky Biky and Éric Serra Tosio a.k.a Rico. Mathias is the main songwriter and fronts the band. Their latest studio album is La mécanique du cœur. Their first release, Happening Songs, was entirely in English, and Babet wasn't part of the band yet. In 1999, they released Haïku, which brought the band into the public eye, mainly thanks to the success of the single Coccinelle.
The name is based on the name of the ancient Greek god, Dionysus (Dionysos in French).
Almost all Dionysos songs evoke a surreal world, in part due to the influence of Tim Burton and Roald Dahl on the group. The song La métamorphose de Mister Chat tells the story of a ladys' man transformed into a cat, and the story of the group's biggest hit (Song for Jedi) is encapsulated in the English chorus, "When I was a child, I was a Jedi".
Babet is currently working at the same time on her own solo album (released on March 5, 2007), and career. The lead singer, Mathias Malzieu, is also working on other projects such as the career of Olivia Ruiz (his partner) and his other hobby, writing (he published three books in 2002, 2005 and 2007). His second book is based on the same world as the album Monsters in Love. The sixth member of the group, Stéphan Bertholio a.k.a Stéphano, was their backliner before playing with them during live tour, and working on the fifth album Monsters in Love.
2. Dionysos was a Canadian band formed in 1967 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Broken Bird
Dionysos Lyrics

It was crying blood into my hands
I'm talking to this bird
I don't thinh you've got no troubles
Hey small ! Little broken bird
He looks like the smile of a girl I once knew
Bird smile tricks hidden in the cheeks
And sparkle in the eyes
Little broken bird
So sing me something like
The birds used to do please
When they swim into the wind blow
A whisper or something but blow blow blow blow
Broken bird, broken bird
Blow blow blow broken bird
I recognize you everywhere you go
I was talking to a bird in the middle of the road
The tears go stronger, like red snow in the eyes
And the feathers are red and nobody in the eyes
Come back to me little bird
I keep talking to a bird in the middle of the road
I put it on my pocket inside of my jacket
I keep on walking' on the road
Broken bird in the middle of the road
And the rain when I ask myself
What's happened to this little broken bird
And I feel something strange under my shoes
When I look at this strange shoe's thing
I found a broken egg full of blood
Cut feathers stuck on my foot
There's a broken bird in the middle of the road
Inside of my pocket into my jacket
There's a broken bird
There's a broken bird under my shoes
The lyrics to Dionysos's song Broken Bird paints a vivid picture of an encounter with a bird who appears to be wounded and bleeding. The singer is talking to the bird and trying to comfort it, telling it that it doesn't have any troubles. The bird is described as having a resemblance to a girl the singer once knew, with a smile and sparkle in the eyes. The singer asks the bird to sing something like the birds used to do, but the bird remains broken and unable to sing. As the song progresses, the scene becomes more tragic as the tears of the bird turn to red snow in its eyes and its feathers turn red. The singer eventually puts the bird in his pocket and continues walking, but he later discovers a broken egg full of blood and cut feathers stuck to his foot.
The lyrics may be interpreted in several ways, with some suggesting that the broken bird symbolizes a person who is struggling with their own issues and is unable to express themselves. The singer's attempts to soothe and comfort the bird may represent our desire to help others who are emotionally or physically wounded. On the other hand, the broken bird may also represent a broken dream, hopelessness or lost love. The singer's recognition of the bird everywhere he goes can be interpreted as his inability to forget the painful experience.
