The song "Sayeh" by Ebi speaks about the experience of finding refuge in the shade during a scorching afternoon. The lyricist expresses gratitude to the shade for being a companion during times of exhaustion and hardship. The shade is described as a natural source of relief from the merciless sun, and the singer finds comfort in its calming presence. The lyricist also uses the shade as a metaphor for finding someone or something that serves as a savior during difficult times.
As the song progresses, Ebi emphasizes the importance of this shade in his life. He explains that he is a traveler who is always thirsty for rest and comfort, and the shade provides him with that much-needed respite. The lyricist also describes himself as someone who is lost and confused, but the shade provides him with a sense of direction and purpose. In the final stanza, Ebi says that he hopes this shade becomes a permanent part of his life, the constant reminder of the good in this world, and how it’s always possible to find refuge from life’s challenges.
Overall, the song "Sayeh" is a heartfelt ode to the healing powers of nature and how it serves as a source of solace during challenging times.

You were a shadow, a companion to my half-day sleep
You were a shadow, at noon on my scorching body
You were a shadow against the merciless heat of the sun
You were a shadow, a pure shadow
I am a traveler, thirsty for sleep
Eager for a sip of water
You guided me with your footsteps as I stumbled along
My body was overheated, my hair couldn't take it
I was motionless, dizzy, and feverish
I couldn't see what was ahead anymore
Until you appeared, oh gracious shadow
Kindly with a bundle of greens and water
I couldn't believe it was a miracle
I thought you were an illusion, a mirage
I was dumb and tired, with dry and hot lips
You were a green shadow, an inheritance of a garden
You were a remedy for this deep wound
Full of pure and compassionate benevolence
Take the burden of my weariness from my body
Cover my nakedness with your body
Take me to the banquet of love
Burn the doorway to our dreams
Let this shadow be everlasting
A shadow that remained in a good place
Remain a shadow and a companion until I know
That the shadow is the one on top of me
