Well, I know a guy who's made 'o bone and skin
Women, but they ravin' 'bout skinny Jim
Skinny Jim, hoo, man, skinny Jim
Oh, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

Hoo, well, I went to a party with skinny Jim
My baby came with me, but she left with him
Skinny Jim, hoo, man, skinny Jim
Hmm, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

Well, Jim got charm, he got class
All the women love him oh yeah, yeah, yeah
Skinny Jim, hoo, man, skinny Jim
Oh, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

B-boom, skinny Jim
Hoo, b-boom, skinny Jim
Hoo, b-boom, skinny Jim
Hoo, b-boom, skinny Jim

Oh, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

Well, I went to a party with skinny Jim
My baby came with me, but she left with him
Skinny Jim, hoo, man, skinny Jim
Hmm, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

Well, Jim got charm, he got class
All the women love him oh yeah yeah yeah
Skinny Jim, hoo, man, skinny Jim
Hmm, well, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

One more time, b-boom, skinny Jim
Hoo, b-boom, skinny Jim
Hoo, b-boom, skinny Jim

Hmm, b-boom, skinny Jim
Oh, yes, yes, yes, all the gals love him, skinny Jim

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Eddie Cochran’s song “Skinny Jim” celebrate the titular character's irresistible charm, despite his lack of physical stature. The singer knows a man who is "all bone and skin," but his charm precedes him, causing women to rave about him. Despite his appearance, "all the gals love him." The love sick narrator went to a party with Skinny Jim, bringing his own date. However, his date was so smitten with Jim that she left with him.

The song portrays Skinny Jim as a charismatic and attractive figure, with his charm and class being a source of envy for the other men at the party. Jim appears to be the life of the party, with women flocking to be close to him. The lyrics are observational in nature as the singer seems to be in awe of Jim's magnetic personality. The message proclaims the power of charm and social skills over physical appearance, suggesting that attracting the opposite sex is more than just how someone looks.

Why is this channel called “Facts Verse” when you have some of your “facts” wrong.
• It’s All In a Name:
According to your “Facts”, the writers used a “sneaky ploy” to let viewers know that Carol was divorced, not widowed.
Your “facts” say because Carol’s maiden name was Tyler. But right before she & Mike got married, her last name was Martin. How does this at all insinuate that Carol was divorced? Most women DO NOT go back to their maiden name when they become widows. That usually happens if they DO GET divorced…YOU IDIOTS!!!
And you expect me to give a 👍🏻 & subscribe?? Another fact you got wrong

Fun to watch. I went to a “Brady Kids” concert in Portland OR during 4th grade and had the time of my life. We were eating at a restaurant buffet before the concert & they all came in, producers and all. My mother wouldn’t let me approach them until after they ate & told me that the reason “Greg Brady has a beer!!!,” was because he was older than the character he portrayed.😂 I watched Maureen put on mascara in the ladies’ room, me sitting on the counter & swinging my legs back & forth, got at least a smile from Eve, then played “spin the quarter” with Susan. They were such great kids & young adults. Later, they’d arranged front row seats for us by adding separate chairs as a new front row. Where other are now, I hope they’re happy and strong. And, that they are in such a precious memory of mine at such an impressionable age. Love them all!😂🙏🏼❣️

DUDE!!! I thought I had the best Brady story! On my 11th birthday, Aug 21st 1973, I was at Kings Island Amusement Park during dry runs before filming and got to ride The Racer with Bobby!
