Jacno (aka Denis Quillard) and Elli Medeiros decided to start the band after leaving punk band Stinky Toys. Jacno composed and performed the music while Elli wrote and sang the lyrics. They released three albums together before separating and beginning solo careers. A compilation Symphonies de Poche was released by Virgin a decade later.
