Le temps efface
Que tu le veuilles ou non
Les années passent
Qu'on se le dise ou non
Le coeur est las
De gagner ses gallons
De première classe
Quand bien même
Sans je t'aime
Je m'en vais
Mon amour
Mon enfant du siècle ou d'un jour
Mon amour
Dans le ciel de traîne
Les vautours, des bruits courent
Mon amour
Est-ce un hazard ou non
Si l'on ressasse
Les causes et les raisons
Celui d'en face
Est-ce une erreur ou non
Si je repasse
A cent à l'heure
Les heures juste en face
Quand bien même
Sans je t'aime
Je m'en vais
Mon amour
Mon enfant du siècle ou d'un jour
Mon amour
Dans le ciel de traîne
Les vautours, des bruits courent
Mon amour

The song "Mon Amour" by Elsa is about the passage of time and how it can erode emotions and relationships. The first verse talks about how time can erase things, whether one wants it or not. It also touches on how the heart can tire of trying to achieve success or recognition.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Mon amour" which translates to "My love" in English. The lyrics suggest that this love is for a person who is not necessarily a lifelong partner, but perhaps someone who played a significant role in the singer's life. The chorus also mentions how rumors are circulating and that vultures are present in the sky, possibly metaphorically suggesting that something negative is happening.
The second verse suggests that the singer is reflecting on the past and trying to understand what went wrong in a past relationship. The lyrics suggest that the other person is also reflecting on the past, possibly referring to "celui d'en face" or "the one across from me." Despite the reflection, the singer seems to be resigned to the fact that they are leaving, even without the declaration of "Je t'aime" or "I love you."
Overall, "Mon Amour" is a lament about the passage of time and how it can erode relationships, no matter how strong they once seemed.
