Passo il tempo con la mente senza un se
Le mie foglie cadono sopra di te
Sono bruciature dentro l'anima
Notti insonni senza fiato a scrivere
Un suono in lontananza serve a vivere
Vetri appesi alla speranza di chi c'è
Ritornerai accanto a me
Ti spoglierai dentro di me
Semino parole irraggiungibili
Occhi già bagnati senza brividi
Due gocce di sudore cancellabili
Un urlo si dirada e siamo liberi
Abbraccerai la luce che
Si accenderà dentro di me
Sono i colori dell'amore
Sfumature senza età
Di uno spazio sognatore
In un'alba che verrà
Sono i colori dell'amore
Di passione e verità
In mano un fiore e poi
Ci siamo solo noi
Viviamo dentro a un film
E il tempo svanirà
E il tempo svanirà
The lyrics of Ennio Morricone's song "Amore" depict a profound longing and introspection within the singer. The opening lines set a gloomy and desolate atmosphere, with "dark and empty streets" representing a sense of isolation and emptiness. The phrase "un solco dentro me" (a furrow inside me) suggests that the singer carries a deep emotional burden. They pass the time lost in their thoughts, without any certainty or direction.
The imagery of falling leaves represents the singer's internal pain, like burning scars on their soul. They confess to sleepless nights, breathlessly writing, as if their very existence depends on it. A distant sound gives them solace and the will to go on, as if it is a lifeline in their existence. The reference to "vetri appesi alla speranza di chi c'è" (hope hanging on the glass of those who are there) suggests a vulnerable reliance on the hope and presence of others, while their gaze remains transparent and filled with unanswered "whys."
The chorus speaks of a future reunion and intimate connection. The lyrics express a desire for their loved one to strip away their defenses and reside within the singer. The repetition of the phrase "sono i colori dell'amore" (these are the colors of love) emphasizes the transformative power of love. It is described as timeless, dreamlike, passionate, and liberating. The imagery of holding a flower and living moments together create a sense of ephemeral bliss, immersing themselves in a film-like reality, where time fades away.
Overall, the lyrics of "Amore" convey a mix of melancholy, longing, and the profound impact of love on one's emotional state. The themes of self-reflection, the passage of time, and the quest for a deep connection with another person intertwine to create a poignant portrayal of the universal experience of love.
